  1. I'm in the west burbs and always looking for people to get a round in with
  2. Greetings from Northern Illinois! Sitting in my office watching it snow (I seriously hate northern Illinois) at the end of March really jonesing to get out on the course, figured I'd drop in and introduce myself. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Been playing golf for 25 years, but only really getting back into it in the last 3. Played in High School, and got a round in once or twice a month while in college, but then had a kid and didn't get on the course for the better part of 15 years. Also had a job in the service industry that was less than conducive to playing golf. Top it off by adding that we moved and I didn't have any friends in the area that played, so finally getting back into it. Currently an 8.7 handicap. Hoping to get to a 5 this year. What do you love about golf? I love golf because it is one of the few games out there that it truly is you against yourself and the course. It really is what you make of it. You don't have to be the best athlete in order to shoot good scores. And you really do get out of it what you are willing to put in. There is something for everyone. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? I just love seeing and hearing other people's thoughts and ideas on golf equipment. Not just the paid advertisements you see all over tv, but real and unbiased opinions. Granted, everyone has a different opinion, so sorting through and finding what works and what doesn't is tons of fun. Where are you from? What is your home course? Originally from Albuquerque, NM, but have lived in the Chicagoland area for 16 years now. I really don't have a home course, and tend to play all over the place. I think I play St. Andrews in West Chicago most often, but Schaumburg GC and Maple Medows are nice. Did have a weekly tee time at Cog Hill back in the day, but haven't played there in years. Just enjoy getting out and playing as much as possible. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? I don't really know about best except there are a ton of really nice courses. The worst is not being able to play for 4-5 months out of the year. That is something I really miss about the southwest and being able to play basically year round. What do you do for a living? I sell frozen potatoes. That's where the name T8r Todd comes from. Its the best job in the world How’d you pick your user name? I sell frozen potatoes. Primarily French fries, but all varieties.
  3. I’m having the opposite issue. Indoor range in Addison Illinois that added top tracer this year. It feels awesome to see 290 carry distance but I don’t have that shot in the bag. I’m a solid 265-270 carry on course and on a GC quad.
