  1. Would recommend haywood for having the most options/customizations (shafts, grips, ferrules etc) available out of all the DTC brands and they offer heads only and left hand for everything. Sub70 is a close second for me as they have great products and a solid selection of options as well. Prefer both the mentioned above because it seems like they design their own products and they custom assemble their orders in North America (based on my personal experience knowing this and needing to make changes which they were both able to do) Caley seems to have copied everything from other DTC manufacturers. Nothing of theirs is original. Both Caley and takomo only have 1 or 2 shafts they offer since everything is assemble in and shipped from China, they are only able to offer a minimal selection of options. End of the day, has to fit your budget and looks preference. Personally I like businesses based in North America (I am From the USA) and am willing to pay a little bit more versus companies like Takomo that essentially is just a really good marketing company from the EU, or Caley (not as good marketing) since neither don't actually handle or build any of the clubs themselves. To me, its like buying a stock set from Dick Sporting Goods. At least the first two brands mentioned above build everything to spec and ensure its correct.
  2. 2 hours of putting, followed by 2 hours of contemplating if I should buy a new putter.
  3. My 2 cents: Starting off, my general consensus is that DTC brands are great for the game, but have to prove themselves first. Currently gaming Haywood Driving Iron and Wedges. I chose them over the other brands because of how clean their clubs look. Customer Service was great considering I called 3 times with multiple questions. Driving Iron is a rocket and wedges are awesome. The Black has barely worn off after 25+ rounds. Irons may be next but I still can't give up my Muira's. I do Love how their Driver looks, but still wanting to see more on them review wise before I consider it. Think DTC brands need to prove their woods more than their irons. I tried the Sub70 Driver and wasn't overly fond of it which is why I have this view. Love the way Takomo looks but when I went to order some wedges, I couldn't get a hold of one person after trying 5 plus times. From what I have read all over the web / forums, they seem like they have a decent product, but have almost no customer service. Have also read they don't touch their own clubs, meaning a factory in China assembles everything for them so there is no quality checks whereas both sub70, haywood and New Level custom build all their clubs. I didn't like the fact I couldn't fully customize my order with Takomo but its a great option I'm sure for those wanting to find a new set for the least amount of money and don't care about the clubs being fit. A 5 round a year players dream. New Level is also an option and have heard positives about their products and they have a couple of senior tour guys using them which is a positive for sure. I have read on here multiple times though that they raised their prices and are more in line with big brands now, so not too sure how big of a factor it is for you.
  4. Just tested/ got my new artisan wedges. Unreal. Expensive but being able to customize everything was cool. Tried the new Stealth 2 via a friend. Meh. No difference between the first one, just more gloss. Can't wait to try the paradym though. Heard good things.
  5. Would recommend the Ping G430's. Not much to look at, but can't really miss that badly with them. Hear the new Stealth HD's are pretty forgiving too.
  6. New to MGS! Recently bought: Artisan Wedges. WOW. Scotty Phantom X. Yesssir Next on the list is irons: Debating between some sweet dtc brands with minimal branding or sticking with a classic like the Titliest MB/CB's which are also fairly minimal overall. Any thoughts?
