  1. I keep getting a bunch of ads for the launch deck by performance golf. Does anyone else always get these ads or am I the only hack looking to fix a slide For anyone who also gets these ads or has a launch deck or similar swing path training, what do you think about it? Is it worth $30-100 depending on which training aid you buy? Another question - does anyone make their own swing path trainer out of tees, water bottles, or sleeves from golf balls? If so, how do you measure where to put the item you’re trying to avoid hitting? Thank you everyone in advance for sharing any thoughts about these kinds of training aids. @GolfSpy_APH do you think there’s any chance of getting one of these swing path tested by the MGS community? Here’s a picture of the launch deck from their website, I know there are similar ones available but this is just what I keep getting ads for
  2. Thank you for also providing a retailer! Appreciate that additional detail. I’m assuming you would recommend them since you said they work well. Have you found any other brands that are similar and work as well?
  3. What are people’s thoughts about filming on the course? For those of you who do film, how do you hold your phones? And do you use external microphones for better sound? And what programs or apps do you use for video editing? One parting random thought/question - who is the coolest or most interesting person you’ve ever played with and why? Share your stories!
  4. Both of your guys sweat glands I definitely feel your pain there. I hadn't heard of Exofficio before, I'll definitely give them a look. Thank you!
  5. The drinks and food are definitely a must, solid advice there. And the moisture wicking clothes still only do so much for me, I was hoping there was some big secret out there that I never picked up in my youth. Playing other sports growing up I was never really worried about sweat because 1) profuse sweat during those competitions was expected and 2) I wasn't out there in sweat soaked clothes for 5 hours, it was more like 2 hours maximum
  6. This is great general advice and definitely helps me feel better and like I'm not going to pass out on very hot days. It still doesn't really do much for the sweat problem though! I guess I'll stick to black pants and shorts when it's super hot
  7. After seeing Lucas Glover today I think this thread should be taken more seriously and deserves some real thoughtful answers from the greater MGS braintrust @GolfSpy_APH
  8. I’ve always heard good things about Mizuno but have never given them a try. How did you stumble on them as your first set? And I recently had to rent a set of clubs because I was traveling and had an unexpected free afternoon and decided to play. The rentals were Callaway Rogue Max STs and even though they were kind of beat up they still felt pure. I’ve only ever gamed TM and Titleist long clubs and irons so I was a bit shocked I liked the Callaway so much, made me think I might need to switch up the bag soon . And I hear you with the Vokey’s, they’re just so expensive though. I wish they were slightly cheaper but then I’m sure I wouldn’t like how much they felt. What would it take for you to switch up the irons? Just a fitting where something else felt better than the current set?
  9. That’s awesome you’re a tester! I’d love to try the Honma sometime, do they feel pure? Have you ever tried out any of the DTC wedges? But that’s interesting to know that you don’t really feel that much difference. What long clubs do you game?
  10. I’ll have to check them out. Do you personally have one?
  11. That’s a fantastic! And a great reminder to me and everyone else that good deals can be found anywhere. I’ll take a look at Dicks and see what they’ve got. Appreciate that advice. Any other hidden gems spots you’ve found?
  12. That’s still an amazing improvement and definitely sounds for $89! I’d replace all the clubs in my bag for $89 each if they each had that kind of impact any other clubs you’ve bought used before?
  13. I’ve tried all different kinds of moisture wicking fabrics with varying success. Any specific suggestions?
  14. Hey all, is there anyone else out there that plays in moderately high temperatures and then, about 15-30 mins into a round, it looks like you just stepped out of a pool? Or is it just me? I’ve had quite a few rounds where my golf clothes are so wet that it’s uncomfortable to play. Shirts aren’t as bad as sweat soaked shorts. A few questions for those others out there who sweat on the course… What brand of clothes do you use to help reduce the impact of sweat during your found? Specifically worried about shorts but I’ll take shirt brand suggestions as well. Do you have any other tips or tricks for reducing the impact of sweat besides choosing the right brand of clothes? Thanks for the help in advance - my future self thanks anyone who has advice
  15. Appreciate that info! I’ll look for where to sign up. That might be where I get my next club from. Which wedge did you end up getting?
