  1. Played a local Muni around me this last Saturday. Shot an absurdly high score at 96 (haven't shot in the 90's in a while), but really didn't feel that way mentally. I would say it was one of my better mental rounds, even though I wouldn't consider myself an angry person on the course, more so just serious. After reading another forum and taking in what was being said, I was able to smile more and just enjoy the game regardless of score. I focused on just trying to shape the ball going into greens or off the tee (which I've never really been able to do with a driver) even it wasn't the right shot to hit. It was fun being able to just have fun and not take it so seriously. This next weekend, I hope to really focus in and take that same mentality and execute shots when I need too.
  2. I'd like to get people's opinions on walking vs riding. This is obviously a broad topic, considering there are a lot of factors like weather, walking ability, etc. Just wanted to see everyone's take on it. I play with a Saturday group where i would say 80% of the people walk with a push cart, and I think most of them do it for exercise given their age and life style outside the course. But being a younger member of the group and living in South Texas, I don't find it enjoyable to walk in 100* weather especially if I'm carrying my bag. All thoughts are much appreciated!
  3. Thank y'all for the advice! I definitely be checking with the fitter.
  4. Is there an advantage for a heavier club? Increased ball speed/more distance.. etc?
  5. That what I thought. They increased the length by .5" and I play midsize grips. They felt good, but a little on the heavier side. Could be a workout getting through a large bucket at the range.
  6. Yes, I am sure they said D9 and even gave me a paper showing it.
  7. Hi all, got fitted for some irons and they put me in a D9 swing weight. From what I've heard, seems like a pretty heavy swing weight. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks!
