  1. I purchased a 5 deg Krank Formula Fire LD earlier this summer. My swing speed is 125-132, and that was plenty enough to cave the sole on both the original head and the replacement head that Lance Reader graciously replaced for free. The head weighs 198 grams without the adapter, which is 10 grams heavier than other LD heads I have played. I purchased it with the Fujikara Flywire in 2X at 48”. The club was delivered at an E6 swingweight, which is unhittable. I counterbalanced the shaft with 25g and still had to tip it over an inch to get it playable. This made it too heavy to achieve even 125 mph swing speed without losing control. in the end, it hits about 15 yds less than my 8 degree 46” TaylorMade Sim 2 that I use for normal play. It’s clear that this is simply a heavier/de-lofted version of the non-conforming high COR that Krank makes for high-handicap/low swing speed golfers. Frankly, the build quality is poor, and there’s no way that a low handicapper with swing speeds above 105 can make any practical use of this club head. It’s a draw biased, high spin head that’ll you whipping duck hooks once you swing it above 125 mph, that is until you cave it in. I like Lance, but unfortunately these clubs are more of a conversation piece than anything you would want in your bag. I saw a picture of Bryson with the same club, but I can’t see any way it could be effective in tournament play, or even competitive at WLD without some major tweaks to the chassis.
