Scott R.'s Achievements

  1. TSR2 with a Fujikura Ventus 6R with Velocore shaft. Love it!
  2. Hawaii 5 0 with Jack Lord. 11 seasons, lot's of stars - I had forgotten how good these were. Enjoy on Paramount.
  3. Recently, Callaway has introduced the 2024 Chrome Soft, Chrome Soft Tour, and the Chrome Soft Tour X golf balls. Personelly, I have played Titleist ProV1 for many years. I was given a sleeve of the Chrome Soft Tour, which is supposed to be the ProV1 equivalent, and can say that after several rounds with this ball it has many of the characteristics of the ProV1. The trajectory off both iron shots and my driver was a little lower and more penetrating than the ProV1 ball. On average, I only lost about 5 yards of distance on my driver. I did not lose distance with full iron shots; however, it did not check up as well on the greens. For me, this ball performed it's best the closer I got to the green. Wedge, chip shots, and putting all performed fantastic! I was able to produce the needed spin for various shots around the green the ball felt great off my putter. In the end, I was good with losing a little distance for the control I was able to get around the green.
  4. Suits! Harvey, Donna, Mike, Luis.. Wondering how I missed this show on USA. Stream seasons 1-8 on Netflix. Season 9 is on Paramount.
  5. Abacoa in PB Gardens, Palm Beach Par 3 is a must and the semi private course at Atlantis.
  6. I typically use 3 pairs of shoes for playing, one for walking rounds which constitute approximately half of my rounds, one for riding rounds, and one for wet conditions. My walking pair is always a spikless shoe and I retire them after 6 months, mostly due to the bottoms becoming worn down. Another contributor to retiring a shoe is that my home course is a mountain golf course with uneven lies. My shoes lasted longer when I lived and played in Florida. Bottom line, shoes to me are like grips - replace them twice a year if your playing 100+ rounds.
