Maverick's Achievements

  1. I have used BOA's for years and enjoy the ease of adjusting the feel on the course. I have tried many brands through the years, but always come back to Foot Joy for the feel & fit to my feet. I personally have never had a failure of any brand. I don't think I will ever go back to laces, except for the rare occasion when I have on tennis shoe type golf shoes when running errands along with a quick nine!
  2. You can't reinvent TW unless he can play to a reasonable level, compete on Sunday's.... Look what happened to the Golden Bear logoed items when Jack no longer competed on Sunday.... TM made a huge investment based on Sun Day that I don't think is going to play out. Tiger's image was injured before all of the physical injuries that prevent him from competing at the highest level. Hate to not to see all of the spectacular, impossible shots that he provided through the years......but....
  3. Some of the guys I play with putt with Ray Cook Silver Ray SR 500. I Putt with a Scotty Cameron Phantom X 7.5.... During the Holidays 4 of us decided to play an extra day. Three of them had RC's, so they challenged me to share their Putters for 18 Holes. I went along to be sociable, but I came away impressed with the $69.99 Putter! The face balance was awesome on toe or heel strikes and distant control was an easy adjustment. The shaft bend took some getting used to visually, seem to be set up for a up strike. But after a few putts that was forgotten. Midsized grip was very comfortable and slightly tacky. Overall I came away IMPRESSED!!.... Not ready to give up my Scotty X, but pleasantly surprised at a low priced Putters performance! Definitely would recommend to anyone seeking to save money on a putter to upgrade somewhere else in the bag.
  4. MGS kept popping up in searches I was doing for info, reviews, etc concerning Golf. They seem to be honest reviews by golfers, not salesman. So here I am and totally satisfied with any and all results, even if I don't agree. I think we have forgotten, everyone is entitled to their opinions, even if they are wrong. The civility on this site is awesome. Thanks to everyone posting here!!!
  5. Overthinking becomes my downfall..... I have a happy place, a song in my head that is a rhythm that is conducive of the shot I want to hit. I quit thinking about that previous bad shot and sing the song in my head and let all those perfect Range shots take over ... I find this especially helpful when I am playing match play with a partner, it relaxes me and I don't feel the pressure of the next shot.... What works for me, isn't for everyone.
  6. I think the most important use is going to be for the lies... Getting the sides of the divots perfectly parallel is more important than lofts for me. Solid strikes come first, then adjusting lofts for perfect gaps. But most and foremost is the enjoyment of the doing and the satisfaction of the results!!! ENJOY!!!
  7. Are they worth the Dollars? ....Or just Bling...
