  1. I have 4 kids, and 2 of them are working with the same top flight clubs. (not the greatest set) not to anyone's surprise, but that is what I could get them where we live for the time. Maybe I didn't see if there was a review for the Jr. sets but I'm trying to find descent Jr. clubs for the money since I don't want to spend the same amount of money that I did on my set for them to only use a season or two at most. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  2. that looks cool and I mean cold there are days that I've played in below freezing. But it is interesting
  3. I agree with Jake F. when ever I find a good deal. But I like to look for grips, balls, tees, gloves. Sometimes you good deals can be found in weird places. my wife went to some store that really never has golf stuff and found puma golf gloves for $4 each so I got all 20 that they had in my size. I almost felt bad but my son seems to leave a glove somewhere almost daily.
  4. You can get a complete set of takomo too for right around 1000 especially if you get the 101's the only thing that I don't think that they make is a putter. Also Caley can get a set from them too I looked at them last year or two but that is another option. I love my takomo irons didn't get the set but 201cb is so soft and buttery
  5. Not yet. I have been thinking about getting the Garmin though so I can work with my kids during the winter as they are trying to make it and highschool teams
  6. Ok so there was something that I was going to reply the link deleted what I wanted to reply and wouldn't the part that I didn't want. But I was going to say tell me about how different weeks mess me up. I shot a 71 last month, then turned around and shot a in 94 on the same 18 that I shot a 71 just a few weeks before. There was more wind but also 10 degrees warmer. How does that happen?
  7. Center shafted was a thought of mine too but i tried it and for me it wasn't appealing to my eye
  8. I take it that you have not thought about what you want in a putter. lol
  9. I'm still working on it forge completely if I was going to go back to the complete old school true blade putter yes that would be on the easier side of things that I have done. Trying my own take trying to figure out exactly what I am wanting and keeping it in the usga as a putter that would be legal and something that isn't just a wall hanger a little more on the harder side trying to make it mine not a copy of something else. One of the golf high school coaches where I am at has me making him just the piece of steel that he is sending to a company. Not sure what or who but it will be fancy is all I know. 500+ layer count
  10. I'm just going to go with that I was frustrated that the new bag that I got last year was breaking down when I looked at it this morning. I know I kill shoes fast, maybe the old ones that I have were the exception and the new ones were normal considering I go through normal shoes and boots about every 6 months
  11. No I totally get that. And I live in Wyoming so not as hot as some of the other states. But I always leave them in my truck from 20 years ago to today taking them out during the winter because most of the time don't plan on using them because often it is -20. Actually now they are probably more babied because they are not ever in the direct sunlight because they are covered. When I was a kid they were always just in the back of the bed or in a SUV with sunlight and heat trapped in on them. And I agree with other things that have been said too some things are better my new irons seem way more durable than the set that I had when I was a kid. And because I got takomo irons they were similar in price to what I remember that I got from the pro shop when I was a kid. I don't know it seems to be just me or I got a bad pair of shoes and bag
  12. I am not easy. I do keep everything in my truck as i always have in the summer. since i go and play at 5/ 5:30 am then go to work. It's also not like i expect my normal shoes to last since i replace sneakers every 6 months but that is a standard that I have always had that i mess them up. Maybe just unlucky i guess
  13. It may be just me that i truly am hard on things, or maybe i'm just unlucky with the things that I got last year. I treated the old equipment likely worse than I did the new because i know that as a kid I cared way less about damaging stuff than I do now.
