  1. I've wanted to hit one of these for ages. I have a stealth, and am a big bomber on the driver, but can barely hit a three-wood. I've got a happy gilmore hockey swing that makes the three-wood a really difficult club for me. I think this could be the perfect club to solve my inability to hit a wood, particularly if it hits well off the deck. I still haven't figured out why I can't hit a wood, but can smack a 2 hybrid 250. Baffling.
  2. 1st Tie Breaker Cut number -1 2nd Tie Breaker - Low Am = Neal Shipley
  3. Old 80's Ping blade with polymer insert. Wrong lie, not heavy enough, and 1" short on the shaft. But knowing what makes the fit wrong has helped me think about my putting in a more strategic and technical level.
  4. I went to a well known/respected local fitter, spent ~1.5 hours fitting. The eye-opening bits where: - Bad performance with putters I expected to like (most Scottys, unfortunately) - Much better performance with a mid-mallet - Mid-toe hang, mid-mallet form. I was also surprised to learn that I was much more of an arc-stroke putter. I expected to be a face-balance straight stroke putter. I loved the LAB Mezz, which I couldn't seem to miss with, but really missed the long alignment line. Thats how I ended up between a Mezz 1 and a PING Oslo 3. But I don't have either and am still stroking my ill-fitting 80's PING blade with funky polymer insert. The fun thing about the fitting (besides knowing which cool/fancy/new-equipment I could buy) was applying my new stroke information to my old beater putter, which has helped my putting game! Particularly in mid-range speed control.
  5. I've been on the fence about buying one since I my putter fitting (a tie between a LAB Mezz and the Oslo 3 PLD) and would love to hear about anybody's real/on-course experience with the Oslo 3. Best, HMMG
  6. Project X 6.0. But I need to get re-fitted as I've gotten older.
