  1. I will not be able to help here. My first thought was "Look at the red, white, and blue knit headcovers. I need to get some of those." Once the whole cloning thing gets perfected, you can equip your foursome of you.
  2. Thanks for the oven tip. I cleaned and torched an old Spalding Mills #1 last summer. At one point I had great purples in it and then they went away. Thought it was the motor oil quench that gave the color. Turned out OK looking, but I think after reading this that I torched it too long and hot.
  3. Didn't Bridgestone already win something vs. Titleist? I seem to remember the guy working the Bridgestone ball fitting booth last summer talking about how the lawsuit payment paid for all of those 330RX commercials we all saw last summer on TV. Maybe multiple lawsuits?
  4. That's because you earned the tree scratch. The door ding is just some moron not paying attention.
  5. Don't tell me you get that nice truck dirty... My brother and I have done the Rubicon trail here in Nor Cal a couple of times. It is more his hobby, but I had way more fun than expected. Now he has made the transition to sand cars and quads. I feel better about the $$$ I spend on golf when I look at his hobby costs.
  6. Again, those racks are fantastic. I have to add beer brewing to my list of hobbies.
  7. Probably doing stuff with my two kids. Not really a hobby, but golf is a real time consumer for me. Living in California, I cam play year round. If we had winter I would probably figure out something though. I guess going to the gym is kind of a hobby.
  8. I guess from a business approach, it makes sense to have it look good to catch the eye of the consumer. Cool progression of drawings, but it left me a bit depressed. I guess that I always assumed function would be first in a piece of sports equipment. Or at least the form side would be more overt. In the shop you can buy lots of golfballs with crazy printing. From money to soccer ball designs. I would never think that the ball was intended for real play. I would work, but the intention is appearing a certain way. Sitting in on the engineer vs. designer meetings would be quite entertaining I bet.
  9. Every time I see them I wish that I could hit the TM MB irons. This is a great thread!
  10. I used to also bag a protein shake. Great and quick. Buddies got in my head though, asking if I would like to tee off before or after I finish my Ensure.
  11. Had these at Daly's Sevillano Links course. Liked them, but forgot about them. Thanks for the reminder.
  12. That lock seems right for the buddies/kids issue.
  13. Just curious about what people carry for snacking on during the round. I have a Nike SQ Tour bag with the insulated pocket. Usually it is G2 and granola bars. Most of the rounds are in the heat of the day and the powerbars that I like melt. Other time I pack "medicine" {2 Guinness tall cans fit perfectly}
  14. That is the pro that I need to find. Removing my pucker-factor when hitting difficult shots would be better than two extra clubs. My mom (70) carries extra clubs now and still hits all of them about 70 yards. She is the queen of knock down 5W on the short par 3. Go Mom!
  15. I bet you could make some coin on one, even at a grand a pop. Look at some of the Tour putter sales on TCC. A grand is no big deal to some.
  16. Just says "Stop stealin' me putters!" to me. Check with member MSaternus if you want a putter rack. The ones he did in wood for Byron are amazing.
  17. Same with me, except for the KY part. I remember seeing even numbered clubs and being confused a bit. I have decided to play 13 clubs, forcing myself to learn to open the SW to cover the LW shots. Probably can drop the GW too, but it is goto at this point.
  18. Can I just hang it on my office wall and look at it. I do love copper.
