  1. Shot a 39 this morning that included 2 drops. Both of those lost balls were into greens where you could only see the tip of the flag, both shots were right at the flag as far as I could tell and then when I got up there there was no ball to be found. Maybe my range finder hit the wrong target? Super annoying to have a really good 9 holes that could have been an amazing 9 holes.
  2. Started out great. #1 is a dogleg left, I hit a high beautiful draw to 155, stick my 9 iron to 5 feet, knock in a birdie. Then comes #2. Apparently there is a tourney coming up at my local course. So the course is in great shape butttt they are growing the rough to like 12". Hit my driver just off the fairway, my ball is buried in calf length wet grass. Takes me 3 shots to get out of it. I score a 10. I don't remember how the last 7 holes went before I had to get to work.
  3. Zepp 2 3D ..... Excited to be able to hit balls in my backyard and actually get some feedback on my swing.
  4. Only got in 9 again. Worst I've played in probably 5 years. 4 tee shots never got off the ground. Duffed 2 pitches. Everything else went way right. On 9 I finally hit 1 good shot. A 3H from 245 to about 10 feet. Wanted to hang myself from the nearest tree after I was done.
  5. Only played 9. Even through 7 then finished double triple. Don't have my golf stamina yet. Got tired and lazy and started hooking everything.
  6. My wife spent a bunch of money this weekend, so I woke up Monday morning grabbed my daughter out of bed and told her we were going to the golf store. It was my turn to spend some of the money I make. Bent my PW to 44 my GW to 48 Grabbed a TM Tour Preferred EF wedge in in 52* with a 9* bounce An R15 5W An R15 3H and 5H Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 Dual Balance And a synthetic mat so I can hit balls in my backyard My daughter got a pack of pink tees to do god knows what with. I wouldn't by her a shark headcover to use as a hand puppet though. Now I need to go hit them and see if they are any good. I may have made some mistakes.
  7. Played The Old Course at St. Andrews. Shot an 87 but should have been better if I would have known that the lie wouldn't affect the distance of the club. Hit a few out of the sand that went way way over the green. Did I mention this was at a simulator place by my work during my lunch break?
  8. Actually going to pick up the MD3's today. Wish they had more bounce and grind options but oh well.
  9. Should have went with the PM grind. You'd never look back.
  10. Went to the range and did some experimenting with the grips. Only the 10 finger grip felt natural. Maybe my hands or fingers are deformed but the other grips feel so awkward. I figured out I really need to focus on where the club lies in my left hand. I have a tendency to get it up into my palm and then I start to turn it over and hook everything. If I really focus on keeping it in my fingers its all good. I have to consciously put it and keep it in the right spot.
  11. Thanks for the responses. My reasoning for the question was, "If there are basically 0 people doing it there has to be some drawbacks to it. What are they?" I get no swing is the same. But in a world where there are basically 3 options and almost nobody but me uses 1 of them, there's probably a good reason why no one does. I just wanted to be sure my grip was not keeping me from getting better. I've kind of plateaued as of late and am looking for anything to drop a few strokes.
  12. I guess I figured if no one on tour uses it there's probably a good reason.
  13. So my whole golf life I've used the 10 finger grip. I know its uncommon ish for decent players to use so I've tried to switch to interlocking and Vader(?). Both feel so unnatural to me. I have small hands in comparison to my height and stubby fingers. 10 finger is the only grip that feels "normal". Should I suck it up and work a different grip into my game or is it not that big a deal. I just worry that its holding me back somehow.
  14. Love golf but I could replace it with something else. Good chance I won't be making 100 million + over the next 10 years though.
  15. This year was the first time I put new grips on my clubs. Golf Pride Mcc4's, they were damn expensive. They had better last my 2 years or more.
