  1. Sure, I watch, but mostly the lessons don't apply to me. It's worth it to at least look for the occasional idea that helps my game, the little tweaks, like tips that help getting the right grip, not whole lessons. Most are enjoyable, if not, delete after a minute or so.
  2. Enjoyed Tiburon a couple of times, Kiawah, too, Oak Hill several times (I live near Rochester), still remember the public course in Australia played on R&R 53 years ago, won a bet from my boss (good guy) by birdieing 18 at Doral, hated Tobacco Road (put windmills on all the blind holes). Second best was Sea Island a couple times. Best was Dormie Club near Pinehurst. Son bought me a round, I got a caddie who easily saved me 5-6 strokes, shot my best round ever, by far (76), on a pretty tough, beautiful, well laid out course. Play it, get a caddie, you'll love it.
  3. I've had four fittings all in the last 10 years. Two were kind of a joke, but the cost (maybe $85) was rebated when I bought a club, actually a Ping 400 SFT. I looked into CC but was not impressed, but that's probably just my local shop. Seemed very pricey and somewhat geared toward buying a limited supply of high priced equipment, plus they didn't seem interested in what I wanted to do. Fortunately we have another Top 100 fitter in our town, (Rochester NY), Big Oak. They were very flexible and since they are a large driving range, I got to hit both indoors and out, and the ball does go differently. My fitter who was 70 and since retired, wouldn't let me just hit inside. We didn't do a lot of shaft change as he felt my game was inside the norm and my swing is fairly standard (Index is 10.2). Not sure many places have the golf resources Rochester has (Donald Ross did 9 courses around here like Oak Hill, but most public), but there may be some hidden resources in your area. The other thing I did was to spend 2 hour long sessions in the simulator, not playing sim rounds, but testing about eight balls that seemed to fit my game. Got great information, and some surprising results, all helped.
