  1. Hey guys, I'm working on training an AI model for something that I believe will benefit many golfers. The hardest thing about this project is finding swings to input data for. So please tell me what your problem was/is, and what swing characteristic you had/have. Thanks! (The more data the better, share this around!) Examples of Problems: Hook Fat Shank Etc. Examples of characteristics: Fast Hips Over the Top Outside in path Shallow AOA Loss of posture Etc.
  2. I purchased a Skytrak almost a year ago and there have been NO updates since. I heard that they were working on calculating club data based on measured data points, but I haven't heard anything since. Does anyone know why Skytrak has fallen off the grid?
  3. This thing looks awesome! Thank you so much for writing this review for us to read. I have been looking at getting one of these to help me make sure I'm getting enough rest because school, golf, and workouts can take a toll on one!
  4. I have seen some members of the forum with badges under their profile picture. Some examples are "Broke 80" or "Donor." How do you get/add one to your profile?
  5. Similar, but there are many things different: a) It is not a very modern design b) the text OCR input is not there c) no Ai d) it is VERY expensive Thank you for your comment!
  6. Yes and no. a) Yes, but it is also faster, (see above comment). b) Again, yes and no. It will help it be faster. You do not have to be lazy to want easier. c) Yes, you will be able to input those stats. Or you can keep some simple stats on your scorecard, and it will be able to scan your scorecard and grab the data it needs, and it will calculate the rest. Thank you for leaving a comment!
  7. Thank you for taking the time to write such a good response! I plan to allow you to input your Arcoss/ShotScope/GameGolf data into the system, or for faster input, I am working on being able to use text OCR to scan in you stats. It has been very promising so far. SG + AI; this is what the system uses to determine where how long suggested practice is for each area. The swing fault/fix idea I have had for a while. I think it is a pretty cool idea, especially for beginners. This will use some of the AI also.
  8. Great Question. I currently use Excel sheets. What that lacks is a few things. 1. Ease of use. In Excel, you have to go through and input every single stat, and you have to go through and try and find exactly where you need to improve versus having an easy-to-use graphical interface that tells how many strokes you are losing and gaining in each part of your game (Strokes Gained). 2. AI. Callaway has told you already, artificial intelligence is better and easier. It can compare your stats to other stats of people with your skill and your goals. It can take the amount of time you have to practice, and recommend how long you practice each thing for optimal performance. 3. It can help you identify swing issues. For instance, if it detects you are missing shots left, it may ask you if it is starting left or curving left. From this it can recommend articles or YouTube videos to help you with this. This is a great function for beginners. 4. I am going to restate the first difference, ease of use. With my very very early stages of this project I can input my stats 70% faster. Thank you for taking the time to ask a question!
  9. I agree that the market has already been created, but do any of them actually take into account your practice performance, playing performance, and time available to play? I agree with you that stats are not necessary. I am a 3 handicap myself and have just started using stats, but I am a numbers geek so.... You could argue that Arcoss has done this, but one thing I wish to improve upon Arcoss is affordability. Arcoss is $249, I hope to make my system sub $100. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to look at my idea and giving your opinion!
  10. The other day, I was looking for a service that allowed me to track my data, input my practice sessions, and calculate where I needed to improve most. I was not able to find a service that offered everything I wanted. I am a web developer, so I decided it would be a good idea to make one. I have done the research, and have decided that this idea is totally attainable. I am asking if YOU think this is a good idea and would you use it. Comments are welcomed below, but I am asking that you fill out the form at this link: https://renderresults.com/ultimategolftracker By filling out this form, you will be entered to be a BETA tester once the site enters that stage. Projected Features of this Service Include: Track Your Rounds Track Your Practice Compare Data Over Time Use AI to Tell You Where Your Game Needs Most Work Show Strokes Gained Much More NOTE: This project will not be completed soon, I expect 6-8 months before it is available for testing. NOTE: This IS NOT an advertisement in ANY way. I am just asking fellow golfers if they like my idea. If you have any questions, leave them below, or contact me here: https://renderresults.com/contact Thanks!
  11. I just pre-ordered three new SM8 wedges. I was going to get chrome, but my golf coach convinced me to get raw because of the glare with chrome. I LOVE the look of raw wedges brand new or even with a little rust, but I don't like the fully rusted look. I am not worried about long term rust because I get wedges every year due to my tournaments. I have read about using things like WD-40 to prevent rust and using CLR to remove rust. However, will these things harm my wedges? Or does anyone else have any tips for raw wedge maintenance?
  12. I have been asking around a lot on these forums to learn some drills I may not know about. One thing I struggle with time to time is a steep backswing. I, of course, combat that with flattening my swing, but that normally results in too much of an in to out path. Anyone have a set of drills or a single drill to help flatten the arm plane while keeping the club on a neutral path? Thanks!
  13. I was just wondering how you add a WITB below your profile like I've seen with some users on here. Thanks!
  14. Thanks, I have really worked on slowing my hips down actually. They used to be very very fast and cause the club to shallow out too quickly. Thanks though!
  15. I have worked a lot on my swing, one thing that I am struggling with now is my shoulders do not turn fast enough in the downswing. My path tends to be too far inside because of this. It also causes my head to move behind the ball. So as you can see, it causes lots of issues. Any advice, drills or videos would be appreciated! Thanks! Swing Video:
  16. @GolfSpy STUDque @GolfSpy MPR @GolfSpy Stroker I visited the main site, mygolfspy.com, this morning. I read the Chrome Soft Article and really enjoyed it. I tried to view the site again this afternoon, and it said "Access Denied, your IP address has been banned." I have NO idea what happened. I have been a reader of this site for years and love everything you guys do. I am an active member of this forum and am even a part of the PGA Fantasy Team. I love this site and I really want to continue reading everything you do. Please un-ban me and tell me why I was banned in the first place. Here is my Cloudflare Ray ID: 558cb59eae42f1ae. Thanks in advance!
  17. Going into this year, I have finally started too stop coming too much from the inside. But now that I am coming more on plane, I cannot stop sending the ball way left. It looks like a pull hook, but my path is still in to out. I know this means it is a clubface issue, but does anyone have any drills or training aids for this? I think this has always been in my swing, but now that I am on plane it is no longer needed to get the ball to go straight. Thanks in advance!
  18. Spinning around 3500, which is way too high for me. Descent angle is around 45 degrees.
  19. I just received a new TS3 driver that I had been fit for with a Tensei AV Blue shaft in stiff flex. However, now when I hit a good shot the ball goes way too high, about 100 feet. I swing my driver around 97-100mph with a launch angle of 16. Could the shaft be too soft?
  20. I recently had a Titleist fitting for new clubs going into 2020. All of these clubs performed incredibly well, and I can't wait to see what will happen with them in 2020. Driver: Titleist TS3; Mitsubishi Tensei AV Series Blue 55 Gram Stiff Flex; 9.5° 3 & 5 Woods: Titleist TS3; Mitsubishi Tensei AV Series Blue 65 Gram Stiff Flex Irons: Titleist T100 4-PW; True Temper AMT Black Regular Flex (Single Stepped); 1° Flat Wedges (I have been fit, however, these wedges are not available until March): 50°, 54°, 58° Vokey SM8; True Temper Dynamic Gold 115 Gram Stiff Flex; 1° Flat Putter: 2018 Scotty Cameron Select Newport 2; 33 inches Ball: Titleist ProV1 Bag: Ping Hoofer Black
  21. I've got a slightly strong left hand with seeing two knuckles, and my right hand is very strong and tucked under. In my opinion, grip position is totally based on your swing style. If you have relatively fast hip motion and love to hit a draw, then strong is the way to go. If you have trouble getting shaft lag and you like to hit a fade, then weak is the way to go. For most people, especially slicers, I would recommend a strong grip. It overall encourages less arm and wrist movement, and less movement is always better in the golf swing.
