  1. I went to club champion and it was pretty good just because of the wide selection of clubs and shafts they have. You can be upfront and say you don't want any custom shafts as they tend to try to sell those more. That way you can get a detailed print out of what they offer you then go buy them off eBay or something. I bought a couple things from club champion just because I wanted the upgraded shaft on a couple clubs but my irons I shopped around for since they were all stock components. But like others have said before it's really about who it is not necessarily where you go. Club champion trains their fitters the same but perhaps it's not consistent throughout the franchises. My guy was good though.
  2. Milwaukee does a pretty good job with munis. I guess it may be because there are very few courses that are privately owned in Milwaukee county and the ones not owned by the city are mostly private. I'm not really sure how they go about the business but they have really only ever improved their courses. Perhaps it's the Monopoly they essentially have with 6 regulation courses and a few executive courses. I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon.
  3. I'm always looking for deals on golf clubs. I was just curious if anyone had any good websites to find deals on clubs. I've gotten some success on eBay, rockbottom golf, lost golf balls and golf deals and steals. Occasionally the local pro shop has some good finds. I mainly look at name brand items and not really interested in the off brand stuff What are some other websites you have found with good deals?
  4. For me it depends on what tees I am hitting from. While I am fairly good with the driver now, I used to hit with less than driver when playing from the whites. As I got better hitting driver from more forward tees wasn't really fun. I cant imagine not using driver from further back tees unless it was for specific strategic purposes. I would say dont use driver until you can consistently hit the fairway with the other clubs then maybe try incorporating the driver. You'll probably have to use driver as you progress to the back tees unless youre Henrick Stenson but most of us here are not.
  5. I just upgraded to the SM8 in my 50 deg. Love it just as much as the last one. As long as you can hit it close and control your spin with the vokeys why change?
