Patina Update:
Alright folks, the forum staff was talking about "patina" on irons and some folks hate it and some folks love it.  
I'd count myself in the camp of not minding some of the small marks on forged irons.  I figured it would be a good time to give a patina update for the SMS Pros.
These photos are trying to show any marks to the clubs, which to my eye, still look as fantastic as they day they arrived.






 
I'll get some more glamour shots tomorrow to better represent that actual condition you see when playing them.  And speaking of playing them, here's a look at my arccos yardages:

While not perfect gapping, some of that is based on the shots I've had frequently that boosted yardage for a few.  If anything I could use a touch more out of my beloved 4-iron, particularly if I am not using it off the tee. 
I default to an effective "stinger" shot with it that has honestly produced some amazing shots for me that have given me great birdie looks on multiple occasions, it's just not always a towering bomb draw like you see on tour. Perhaps I would have been better suited with a split set as well with standard SMS irons at the top of the bag?  Or something like the Steelfiber i95 versus the i110 at the top of the bag to aid in launch?  
I continue to be impressed by the accuracy and consistency in this set of irons.  

Great question. I have been gaming a set of t200/t150 combo irons and I love them, been hitting them really well lately. I have set of ZX5 mkii that I just grabbed on a whim (because why not) and shortly after I committed to buying these, a set of SMS Pro’s with Axoims was offered to me at a great price, so I dove in to this. 
As an MGS guy, I came here to see if they’d been tested. The weighting system is what really caught my eye. I would love to test them first with the weights in the toe, but there isn’t really any where around me to do it. 
Love to hear that you are still gaming them. I think that says the most about the iron as a whole. Is there anything else you can think to share being that it’s been a longer time since your review?
