Callaway has launched the Opus and Opus Platinum wedges with advanced SPIN-GEN face technology and refined designs. We are searching for four golfers to test, review and keep these innovative wedges.

About the Callaway Opus line

Callaway says the new Opus and Opus Platinum wedges feature SPIN-GEN face technology, a refined groove package and enhanced surface roughness for improved control and spin. The Opus Platinum model includes MIM construction and bonded tungsten weighting, offering optimized trajectory and consistency. These wedges come in multiple grinds to cater to diverse playing styles and promise significant performance enhancements.

Like others, I was never a big fan of the Jaws wedges, but these are beautiful! I currently play Cleveland CBX2 wedges in 54 and 58 degree lofts with a 48 degree PXG 0211 Gap wedge. I'd love to see how I could perform with a more traditional wedge shaft compared to the CBs to hopefully improve spin around the green and stopping power on approach shots! Good luck to all!

I would love to test these, I like the JAWS wedges but they didn't quite beat my Vokeys. But these look very encouraging! Fingers crossed!!!Screenshot2024-08-13at8_34_24AM.png.94488fd58041fd22b40dbaeb66975568.png

Dream set would be:

50 degree S Grind 12 bounce

55 degree Z Grind 10 bounce

60 degree C Grind 8 bounce

Not only are these wedges a work of art, but if they perform as well as Callaway claims, these will fly off the shelves. The Z grind looks the closest to the TW grind on my 56 & 60 MG4s so would love to compare side by side and share my results with my fellow spies.

I guess my sign up didn't go through 😔, but these were my results that I had. If it had gone through and was considered, these would have helped my gap between wedges. Ive been wanting a 58° too

Welcome @GREENBOY! As @Lefty11 mentioned, the cutoff to apply for this test was yesterday, but there are PLENTY more opportunities.

My (completely unsolicited) advice:

- get a profile picture (it’s a requirement for testing)

- get involved - this is an incredible community

- read this thread: https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/61746-mygolfspy-forum-how-to-be-a-tester-guide/

Hope this helps - good luck and welcome again!
