  1. Guy drives it 190, and waits for green to clear from 250 out.
  2. I agree with you! I always try the new Srizons (particularly the Diamond; since it came out). For me, 94 mph, age 58, 242 carry with Driver, I always end up back with the ProV1 x. Additionally, superior to the Srixon, are the Chrome Soft X, and Taylor Made TP5x.
  3. No mention of age group? I was told that when you are 55 and older, and can no longer consistently drive the ball (at least), 240 yards, move up to the senior tees (5700-6000). But, I think, more importantly, look closely at slope and course rating? There are still gold tees that slope in excess of 131 slope, and that's plenty of golf course for me.
  4. I really think that it depends on the terrain, and moisture point you play in most of the time. Some of the spikeless models our quite good for normal conditions, (e.g: Footjoy Pro Sl), and some of the spiked ones for very wet conditions. Where I struggle in picking, is excessively dry conditions, like dormant Bermuda, but I would agree the non-spiked shoes ( lack of spike impact points), tend to be more comfortable after the round.
  5. You are really at the mercy of the fitter. I had some great fittings in the Rockville, Md location, and an awful one in Raleigh, NC. For me, I found that, (for the most part), their finished product, comes back, too long, too stiff, and too heavy. Good luck.
  6. I'm going to be honest with you-I like a heavy headed putter. Even though Evnroll specs said, it weighed 370 grams, I didn't feel that and returned it. I eventually went to one, of the new Cobras, with I love.
  7. If you get the right fitter, they are worth it! Stay away from the Raleigh, NC location! bought an 1100 driver for my wife, and it wasn't even spec'd right upon delivery.
