  1. Next time I'm visiting home we'll have to play, my mom's house is off Franklin. I grew up in Pine Grove.
  2. I got bored and updated a spreadsheet I created to calculate POPs on a guys trip. Now it allows you to "simulate" a golf round, after you update the assumed course strategy a range practice card is produced for each shot during your 18 holes. I had no intent to share this with anyone, but once I got it working well I figured why not show you all. But I apologize in advance for spelling, calculation, or any formatting errors. Please let me know what you think. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EUOb8jhVN91-sTaSTuv1RD9TJShu9tMiZpboRi5ubEU/edit?usp=sharing
  3. Thank you all, some frost closed the front 9 down but I got to get some holes in.
  4. Go checkout Meadow Lakes in Prineville (mid 60s this weekend with sun!) or Crooked River Ranch (same temps) Those are a couple great tracks that my buddies and I play Oct-Jan. Typically Bend will be foggy/rainy/snowing but Prineville and Crooked River are sunny and mid 50s Wish I could join you but we have friends in town this weekend.
  5. So I was scared... I bought a full 4-pw 699 set and pulled the trigger on the 699 Pro 2i. Played a few rounds and plenty of range time with them and loved the results. But one day at the range I was hitting the 2i and after a shot the head felt loose. Sure enough the ferrule of my Project X HZRDUS looked broken, wasn't sure if it was the glue or the shaft itself. So I snapped a few pictures and sent them in to Customer Support. With in an hour or so, I had a conversation with Mark (I think) at Sub70 and a Return Label in hand. From my picture he could tell that the shaft itself had failed and was going to replace it. I cannot recommend Sub70 enough, had I gone through a full fitting at my local shop or Dick's Sporting Goods I doubt I would have had the support from the manufacturer or fitter to get this fixed so fast. Bravo Sub70, I am glad I made the choice I did... Now to try out some of your Woods.
  6. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Actively for 6 years, about 7 years of 2-3 rounds a year prior to diving in. I am currently a 17.3 What do you love about golf? Sharing the course with my sons and teaching them what golf can offer both on the course and off. Also the excuse to get outside with my wife and buddies and enjoy the sun, some drinks, and a little competitive banter. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? Looking to grow my golf network, I'd love to find some new playing partners. Not that I know of. Where are you from? What is your home course? I live in Bend, OR but originally from Hood River, OR. Currently What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Pace of play in the summer is brutal, courses fill up fast despite high price points. I love the ability to get out early in the middle of the summer and get a round in before 9am. What do you do for a living? Project Manager for Civil Engineering Firm. How’d you pick your user name? Old high school nickname.
