  1. @G-Ram Really curious on your thoughts on the iron shafts. Loving the CBT 6.5H and thinking about trying the iron shafts in my longer irons.
  2. Absolutely! So as context, I previously had a Capto and the Blast Motion. The Capto was definitely accurate, but the software was terrible and the app looked like it was built in 1995. The blast motion was good too, but once I switched to a Superstroke Flatso, it wouldn't fit on the grip anymore. The only reason I discovered it was I saw an article where they partnered with SAM PuttLab. Recognizing that SAM has the market cornered for putting analysis, it must mean they saw something in Vertex. I purchased it on a whim, arrived within a week, and I was up and running. The setup is much easier that Capto, and I definitely think the data points are accurate. It allows you to upgrade to a yearly subscription (I think either $50 or $100 depending on what you want) to basically get any data you need. I haven't put it up against SAM (mostly because I don't have one), but for $350, I can't imagine finding anything better. Honestly, I think they haven't really done any marketing yet otherwise this thing would be getting a lot more attention IMO Couple of screenshots attached as well....
  3. Just got this a few weeks ago - it is incredible for the price: https://vertex-golf.com/
  4. I had one - I would say it's average at best. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed given the cost. I had it in my basement for a while and the roll just wasn't true. When I reached out to their customer service, the answer was always "it needs to flatten more, given it time to adjust to climate, etc...". Just never got any better. I ended up selling it on FB and got a Big Moss mat instead - never looked back.
  5. I think the FF is more comparable to the AutoFlex in terms of being whippy. To me, the MetaFlex is just different - feels much more like a traditional shaft when you waggle prior to swinging, but all of the benefits of the FF/Autoflex.
  6. I experimented with a one length set briefly, but like everyone says above, could never get used to the feel, especially with the 8-GW. Had a really hard time hitting a 130 yard shot with what felt like a 7 iron. I do think there is some merit to the concept and it could likely help beginner or intermediate golfers. However, there is probably a reason why there's only one professional golfer who uses them.
  7. Thanks @onyxwulf! Super helpful - curious if there was a learning curve getting used to the flex and bend of the shaft? The reason I ask is I've tried the Autoflex, but to me, it felt like I was swinging a pool noodle. The results were OK, but I couldn't get used to how flexible and whippy it was. Any issue with controlling spin numbers?
  8. Reminds me of Notah Begay, didn't he use a Bullseye and putt both left and right handed?
  9. Lamkin used to make a Players + Cord grip that I used for a while. Before that, I used to put 4-5 wraps on the lower hand only. Golf Pride seems to be the only one now that has a cord of some sort with the reduced taper. It definitely helps take the lower hand out of the swing.
  10. Been looking at this for a while but haven't pulled the trigger yet. The lack of reviews is concerning, so definitely look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. It definitely looks like a cool gadget!
  11. Curious if anyone has had experience with the MetaFlex CBT Shaft? A friend of mine had one and I was able to pop it in my TSR3 driver. I only took about 20 swings, but I noticed an increase of 4-5 MPH swing speed and an increase of ball speed of 5-6 MPH. My typical ball speed and carry is around 167 MPH with a carry of 285 yards, and after just a few swings, I was carrying over 300 yards with ball speeds around 173 MPH, something I have never seen. Anyone had the chance to try this yet?
