Nope,  nothing to do with a putter being center shafted.  A center shafted putter can be "traditional" or counter balanced just like a plumbers neck can be either.

Per the website with the putter you mentioned:

Oversized, 104-gram grip moves the balance point closer to the hands for a smoother, more controlled putting stroke

There isn't an industry standard on what is considered a normal weight grip nor what is considered counterbalanced.  But if you put a lighter grip on the putter you reduce the counterbalance by lowering the balance point.  Put a butt weight or a heavier grip you add more counterbalance and move the balance point higher.

    Hey Consil

    Okay that's well explained.

    Thanks

a counterbalanced putter is where you add additional weight to the butt end of the club.  It has nothing to do with toe hang/face balance.   A putter can be counterbalanced by replacing the grip with  heavier grip,  using an add on weight like tour lock, or the grip weights in a superstroke grip.  Sometimes players will even extend the overall length of the putter by a few inches, but that isn't required to counterbalance a putter.

Generalizing, counter balancing will make the head feel lighter and part of the marketing is that it will improve your stroke.

yes I was on the internet looking at putters came out at Wilson the INFINITE SOUTH SIDE PUTTER, I have been googling behind counterbalanced putter meaning, not really clear to me, I thought had to do with the shaft in the middle. I did read what you say, When I went to compare with the INFINITE SOUTH SIDE PUTTER not clear to me, but understand it a bit better, wilson uses a heavier grip. But install another grip that is lighter then the counterbalanced effect is gone.

Never heard of countour balanced; there was a company called contour putters pre 2010.     Face balanced is simply a measure of toe hang where the face points to the sky when the putter is balanced on its balance point.

I wrote it wrong, I mean Counterbalance.

The clip is used to adjust the tension of the stand mechanism. You could try contacting Wilson Golf to see if replacement parts are available, or, if the bag isn't that old, it may be covered under warranty.

    Hey bellken
I emailed to Wilson, I got an email back, that it is very busy and will reply later.

    Thanks

Easiest way is to get black zip ties. Then melt them into the damaged area. Go on You Tube and search for repairing plastic parts.

    Hey Tom the Golf Nut

I have seen on YouTube, beautiful I had never seen before, only I do not have such a device for the zip ties to melt hot, with lighter it will also be difficult I think and take a long time to melt, maybe someone of my acquaintances has such a device lying around.

Earlier this year I went mid-size and did so when Pure grips had a 50% off deal going.   I build up the bottom hand in order to reduce the taper.  I had no complaints really.   I did however take a few swings of someone's driver at the range that had these Lamkin Sonar + 's on them.   I liked them a lot and put them on my driver and fairway's to start.  They look nice, feel good, and while only using at the range seem quite nice in the colder weather.

Now I'm thinking---get 6 more for the irons?

I have tested different grips, I how most of the sticky feel, I have the SONAR+ TOUR CALIBRATE on my irons and the SONAR+ on my Wedges and Woods, With the Sonar+, I mounted The GolfWorks Grip Rib on the shaft. To get the same feel as with SONAR+ TOUR CALIBRATE.

  7. Good day NS414
I have the Cleveland HB soft Blade or number 8, you can see in the picture, I wanted to try is a blade and milled face and Cleveland is affordable. I do like the putter head, did give me good feel, at first it does take getting used to feel and distance, will be like that with everything. I do like the soft milled face, blade model I personally find a bit too heavy, that's why not in my bag, prefer a lighter putter head has me feeling better anyway. The grip there is now the Garson Ultimate on it suits me better than original grip, will also be everyone's personal choice. If you can test the Cleveland HB soft or get a bargain somewhere would give it a shot.

I think the difference is the shaft and club setup. The KBS max ultra lite are probably in the 80 gram rand and teh DG shafts are 120.  That is a huge difference when transitioning between clubs and probably messes up what you feel.   You probably need to look at 120 gram shafts for your irons.

    Good day cnosil

Amai that's 40 grams, yes then is looking back at it when I go to do a fitting, good to know. On 28.10.23 I have a fitting testing Taylormade at the club, I can also see what they have to say.
But the difference in weight does that have anything to do with flex stiffness?

Hello Cnosil and anyone else reading it.

I did a Taylormade fitting today, irons only, Club turned out to be the P790 with an Elevate MPH R-flex 95 Steel Iron Shaft. Felt good though, was pleasant to hit, felt more like 1 hit. I still had a Nippon shaft the N.S.PRO 950GH neo and one of the Dynamic Gold models also tried think a stiff am not sure, with the trackman results and my physical problems the Elevate MPH R-flex 95 came out best, it was between the Nippon and Elevate, the Elavate results better and difference that the tip is slightly heavier and felt better to me. I also tried the Stealth club that was nothing at all.

I have the same feeling throughout the bag.

you have a big difference in weight between the wedge sand irons. Also different shaft design. Not surprised there’s a difference in the feel.

    Good day RickyBobby_PR

Ok then I am not alone after all, I do find it annoying, I take the RTX feel hold a club and the swing feels good, at the irons is good but doesn't feel the same as with the irons, going from irons to wedges is always Difficult exactly a different rhythm I have to apply. As Consil says 40gram is too big a difference.

It sounds like you are describing a difference in swing weights. Try adding lead tape to one of the irons to see if that helps.

    Good day Hook DeLoft

Yes swing weight, yes that could be it, I'm not that into golf technical terms. Of lead tape, I myself have never heard of it. Yes maybe is try once.
You stick that on the back of the irons?

  12. Hello

I have the Wilson D9 irons with the KBS max ultra lite and the Cleveland RTX 5-6 wedges with the Dynamic Gold Spinner Tour Issue Wedge Flex. For 1 reason or another I always have a better feeling with the wedges than with the irons, I don't quite know how to put it, feels more like 1 unit with the arms and body, the difference I feel is that the weight with the wedges is more from below or lower. I find that exactly more pleasant, I have a wilson wedges with Dynamic Gold 120 S300 feels lighter the weight is also distributed differently, does feel good anyway is that so does feel good but miss something, then Cleveland takes hold feels exactly right immediately too. Is this the case with everyone that the wedges feel different from irons? Or do I have the wrong irons or is the difference in the shaft?

I've always been fascinated by this topic.  While I walk most of my rounds with a very light setup, I have small old camera bag for the driving range or cart rounds that I set up with the following:

    Grok speaker

    Rapsodo launch monitor

    Blast putting sensor

    Solar battery pack

    Driver wrench

    Cigar torch

    Cigar cutter

    6 in 1 charging cable

    Theragun mini

In my carry bag I have roll meter of 5m, I sometimes use on the putting green. Other than that, nothing special.

In my review I lamented the lack of solid color options, as the chevron pattern was a little busy for my taste. While I would still like to see solid colors, like available on the Ultimate, this Tour version of the MAX is nice. The overall consistency of the grip is there, but in the place of the semi-tacky patterned surface is a smooth yet tacky alternate. Initial trials on the mat have been positive, so this will be going in the bag and joining me on my next round. Love these Garsen grips.

    Hello Ben

The Max Tour black looks good, is there a difference or big difference in feel and grip with the regular Max. On my irons I have the Lamkin sonar + grips also have a sticky feel already, I like it.

I recently went on a trip to Colorado and unexpectedly had a free afternoon so I went golfing! Went to Keystone Ranch just north of Breckenridge. Awesome course!! A real beautiful RTJ course. See video below for an example of the views:

As an aside.. I had to rent clubs because I wasn’t expecting to be able to golf. I currently have a blade putter but the rental set had a odyssey two ball (pictured below)

    IMG_4551.jpeg.df86c3702f37a4d6f28906a4452e221a.jpeg

I sank a couple monster putts and my lag putting was probably the best I’ve had this season.

It made me think it might be time for a switch.. so my question is where would people recommend buying used putters? I would like to switch but don’t want to shell out 250-350 for a new one.

    Any recommendations or suggestions welcome!

In Europe you have Golfbidder selling 2nd hand golf equipment and England you have Clubhouse golf selling new equipment and sometimes have strong prices, some German sites sometimes have ok strong prices. But you live in Indiana so you are not going to be much with European sites.
