I play the OG 699 and love the looks and overall aesthetic. The update appears to be a good update to the overall line. Some folks are not keen on the new look, based on comments I've seen elsewhere, but you can't please everyone. It will be worth a demo to see what the performance is like.

Personally, I wouldn't wear them. I would absolutely destroy them with dirt and stains. But, you do you.

I can "Third" Sub70 as a great place to start looking. What's your budget for clubs? You could easily outfit a full bag with last season models and save some cash.

Ummmmmmm...Taiwan isn't "China" in that sense. Taiwan=Republic of China, i.e. not Communist. A free market based Republic. Small island off the SW coast of mainland China. Makes solid products for many markets China=Communist China/mainland China. Low quality/crappy workmanship.
