In the Summer it's golf on the weekends except for full moons or good tides. A slot snook beats a birdie. A double bogey beats work. A catfish beats work.

Talk to me about your go-to premium golf ball!
Tea Time replied to Shlax's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
Great thread. I'll say the srixon z star is an excellent ball. The Wilson staff model ball is awesome, it carries a long way. Is a bit firm and clicky but performance is everything a PV1x is. The Wilson Triad is also fantastic, very long, softer than Staff model but a players ball through and through. The vice pro and pro plus are both excellent. With the funky colors and drip balls they're very catchy. Besides the cosmetics, both balls are legit player balls. I really play well with the vice balls. This summer I played mostly Wilson and Vice. My wife was a 4.2 before our son was born. It's rare but if she hit a second ball off the tee it was out of my pocket because she doesn't use or have pockets apparently. She really likes the Triad and that's what she says she'd use if not her trusty PV1. In reality I think all these manufacturers are making great equipment and it really doesn't matter which bullet you choose. It is the Indian not the arrow. Hope this helps, love these topics. -
I used to hate watching Tyrell Hatton whine. Then I heard him and it's awesome, he's like us, but good at golf. It's fun pulling for him but it gets better when he hits bad shots because the every man comes out. I also like watching Jordan and his wife (caddie) talk through shots or get into cat fights.

Anyone else not happy with custom fitted clubs
Tea Time replied to Docdent's topic in Breaking News and Debate
I got fitted for the first time in 20 years last November. Local shop, the pro knew what he was doing. I didn't even know the Cobra Radspeed irons existed walking in there but that's what I ended up with. He put in a stiffer shaft than the 6.0 rifles I have used for 20 years. I hated the clubs the first two rounds using them. Starting swinging better, gaining confidence in them, and now really like them. My handicap was hulking up but once I started swinging with conviction again its dropped to 5.4. When your swing is struggling all clubs seem to suck. When you're firing down the line, all clubs seem to work. -
Wilson Duo and Srixon Q Star standard are both great. When I'm on the struggle bus the Duo comes out and seems to right the ship, most of the time. I lose a few yards because of the low compression but it's a strait ball. The Q Star is a ball I'll play if it's wet or really soft greens and it's a great ball too.
