  1. So looking forward to all the testers results. I have the OG collection and look forward to seeing all of your thoughts. I've played roughly 8 rounds now and I am working on getting 10-12 in to write an informal review.
  2. Normally it's an 8 iron. I just got new blades and I think I am getting a bit more out of them in the 2 rounds I've played with them so far. It seems like my 9 is getting 145+
  3. Looking Looking forward to another great opportunity from MGS. Good luck everyone and may your ball fly where you want it to.
  4. I am super happy with the results as someone who just bought the AI Smoke Max. While it was the "worst" of the AI Smoke's, seeing the straight shot % at 51.9 is amazing and can attest. So many great options out there. Love all the hard work MGS!
  5. Congrats testers and good luck/have fun! Looking forward to seeing your results!
  6. You is Smart, You is Kind, You is Important. Does that help?
  7. In that case buy all the new drivers lol. Obviously there's always the get fitted recommendation and explicitly let them know that you are looking at not brand new, etc. While I think getting fitted is important, I also know it's not always feasible and you can get some great clubs that work for you. My Stealth Driver I didn't get fitted for but I loved it. Just got fitted for the Callaway AI Smoke and got a nice bonus to end the year so it was too tempting . Hope you find something great! My wife is saying I'm expensive? I think I'll stick with what you said haha.
  8. Crazy? No! Should you buy a new one without doing the adjustments? Probably not. But hey, I’m nobody’s boss and just love a new club [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. So February was very much a club ho month for me. Starting Feb. 1st. I received my Callaway Paradym AI Smoke Max 10.5 Stiff. Let me tell you. I absolutely love this thing. I don't have any official numbers but a side by side 2 round playing one ball each with my AI smoke and my Stealth drivers, this thing helps me stay on the fairway (or close to it) much better. I tracked about a 5-10 yard difference if I hit a slice/fade. I have it down to 9.5 degrees with draw bias and the weighting set to draw and I am seeing great results. I wouldn't say it's giving me much more yardage wise, maybe 1-3 yards here and there but definitely much straighter. Next up, I was tracking some bids on ebay for a new hybrid. I opted for the Pardaym X 3 hybrid. Only cost me about $145 for the win. Unfortunately I haven't gotten to test this bad boy out much other than into the net in my back yard. While testing it, I actually tore my lat muscle. It had been bothering me awhile, think I had a small tear already but pushed it too much. Can't wait until I am healed up enough to get out and see how this baby flies. It felt great on the 10-15 shots I hit with it. I love my Titleist Hybrid but I don't use woods and needed something with a little more oomph. Lastly and the part I am most excited for (who am I kidding, I am pumped for all of these). I have a buddy who tried out the Birdie Golf Design Irons. They are blades that are much friendlier. I shot a few with his and really liked the feel and have been wanting some blades. I broke down and bought a 4-PW set of BGD OG Collection. $325 for a full set. I will report back with findings when I can. They are honestly beautiful. I actually got them with stiff shafts and 1.5+. I have only gotten to hit about 10 shots as my lat is still not recovered enough. It's killing me to not be able to get out and hit them. I will say that I hate the grips but until I can get out and hit them on the range, I am not going to switch them yet. My grips are Golf Pride CPX standard and love the feel. When I felt I hit a pure shot with these, it felt like a knife through hot butter. Super excited.
  10. I love this! And I agree with so many of you. I have to particularly agree with @vandyland. I love a wide open course off the tee box with a challenge on the approach into the green. Beyond that, I would have to say a course with different types of challenges. My favorite/home course has two 18 hole courses and each is completely different than the other. While I love a wide open course, I like when they throw in one or two holes where it's threading off the tee box and then opens up. I also like when there is at least one hole that drives you insane on a course because the reward for playing it well is so much higher. There's a par 4 that is only 325 from the tips but it has a massive pecan tree right in front. Your options are to essentially stinger a ball under, thread one through a gap in the branches (a bit bigger than you think) or you have a very small window to essentially fade/slice it around the tree. While I realistically hate this hole, one of my favorite times playing the course is playing it well because it does challenge me so much. It's also really the only truly frustrating hole so it doesn't completely derail your game. Last piece to me of a truly good course are the greens. Too many courses have issues (holes, patches, etc) on the green, and while I am by no means a tour player, I hate feeling like a not well taken care of green is why putt went offline. Look forward to reading more from everyone!
  11. Congrats testers! Can't wait to see what you all think. Let em rip!
  12. I recently did this. It's great. I just bought 2 gloves with it. Well worth it.
  13. I love it. Golf is the ultimate one thing can change how you feel. I played last week and it was probably one of my worst rounds but on hole 17 I sunk a 35 foot putt for birdie and it completely changed how I felt about it. No matter how much I play, I can't wait for the next rounds.
  14. I love this question. I would say yes. I've always maintained that one of the reasons golf is so fun to me is that it is challenging in a different way every single time. I tend to play the same course just about every week but no round is ever even close to the same. Almost every hole presents a new challenge or new way to attack. I really do love golf. I would say 90% of the time, I have more fun than ever. There are rounds that just get under your skin though. I think why some people don't have fun is they set this expectation for themselves. If you're competing, I completely get that but if you go in thinking oh I need/want to shoot this score, you're let down. I always, always go in with the mindset that I want my ball striking to be on point. And if it's not that day, I try to make it fun by diagnosing the issue or trying some fun shots with my most reliable clubs. I think more people would enjoy golf if they think of it scientifically. If I hit a bad shot, why did I hit it, recreate it and understand and when you hit your next good shot, celebrate that but also diagnose and understand. I grew up playing golf but also I was a skateboarder and I think they are similar in their challenges. How do I learn something new and how do I address this challenge. I hope everyone finds love in golf but also finds the peace in golf. Being on the course is and will always be one of my favorite things whether I am hitting the ball well or not.
  15. While I mentioned this elsewhere. I did buy the AI Smoke Max pre-order. Cannot wait and will send some pics of that. I also recently purchased another glove from Red Rooster, the Sultan but I did the starter kit and got a hat and the hat is super great value alongside amazing quality.
