  1. This is the recommendation I get from the Vokey Wedge Selector Tool...
  2. Hi all, I'm replacing my wedges this season, but I'm lost in the jungle of different grinds. I currently play SM7 54.10.S (bent to 53) and 58.10.S. With new wedges I will most likely get 52/56/60. I have decided to go all-inn on Dan Grieve's 3-releases ("short game - philosophy") which means that I will mostly chip and pitch with a square clubface and "use the bounce". My understanding is that I should go with mid to high bounce on the 52 and 56 but low bounce on the 60. I normally play on medium to soft turf in quite soft bunkers. The 56 will probably be my go-to club in the sand if that matters (I do not consider myself a great bunker player, but I do not struggle to get the ball out). Any advice regarding what grind to choose?
  3. You've got some impressive speed there! For those of us who are used to the Stack its no surprise that one cannot expect the increases to be linear, but I think its helpful for those who just started to see that one will have good sessions and bad sessions. The important thing IMO is that one will increase speed over time. This is my eSpeed progress since I started stacking. Maybe Im breaking out of a plateau
  4. This is my opinion only, and I am not an expert in this... I do not think you have to start off with other exercises before starting "stacking". The foundation program takes into account that your body needs a soft start to overspeed/overload training. I would say the most important thing is to always warm up properly before a stack session. The app has a great guide for that too
  5. Nice progress! I was inspired by another stack user here to make a graph
  6. New personal ATH e-speed (114) recorded yesterday Just after the session I also recorded my highest ball speed ever on a trackman - 163 mph (distances are meters)
  7. Thanks for the advice! I will definitely try before I buy and will give game improvement irons a shot too
  8. Interesting topic! What clubhead speed do you guys think is required in order to hit a UDI well? I had a Titleist T-MB 2 iron in the past, but was not able to hit it well. Back then my CHS with driver was around 98. Now my CHS with driver is a little under 110. I have an inside-out path and really struggle to hit my hybrid anywhere near straight. At best its a draw, but most often a hook. I've been considering to give a UDI (or similar) a new chance with the improved speed.
  9. At the end of a 2 hour TrackMan session today I completed a speed priming with balls session. My eSpeed is 112. During the speed priming i reached 117 without ball (highest) and an average of 111mph with ball (112,9 highest). Was surprized that TM CHS was almost identical to the PRGR CHS…
  10. Short update from me. I completed the Foundation program late june this year with 9mph increase in Driver Speed from Baseline to Progress check (98 to 107). Decided to take a break for the rest of the golf season with the aim of starting up a new program when the courses closed for the winter. Had hernia surgery late october so had to rest for four weeks before I could take a new Baseline test and start a new program late november. Was somewhat surprised to see that I had not lost any speed since the progress check at the end of the Foundation program. I have now completed 9 sessions on the Full Speed Spectrum. Have not seen any significant gains during this period. I started at 98 (Stack Speed), went up to 100 for a few sessions, but dropped back to 98 today. I've seen a few posts regarding the app's "Potential Distance" vs real distance with driver. I find these to be quite close. My current "Distance Potential" is 301 yards and on a Track Man "hit it" session on Sunday I hit one 290 yards which had a smash factor of 1.48 (so not perfect).
  11. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Started when I was 16 in 1998. Hcp is 7 ish. Was 4 at best many years ago. What do you love about golf? Friendly banter. Competing with myself. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other I read an inspiering thread about the stack system. Where are you from? What is your home course? I am from Norway. I love playing different courses every season. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Long summer nights are awsome. No play from October/november to april is terrible. What do you do for a living? Commercial role in cyber security. How’d you pick your user name? My last name
  12. My first post here so a quick intro first: 41 years old 7index from Norway. Played golf on and off since I was 16. I have to say Im really satisfied with the stack. Almost done with foundation and have seen significant gains I hit some balls after the (the) Stack session today and recorded a for me record high ss of 113mph with ball (that was close to sweet spot, but very poor range ball gave a terrible ball speed/smash factor).
