  1. Welcome… Hope you enjoy the reviews, information, equipment announcements, deals, and most of all the people.
  2. Pretty sure that is where my golf game is residing.
  3. I switched mine to being used as a secondary cooler at work and on the course. Using the “ Club Scrubber “ to clean balls and clubs. The towel is holding up well, just that my hands have difficulty with the zippers. With the other three people I gave the towel; two of the younger people are using it as a tube and another older individual is using as a cooler like I am. Will be interested in reading how the zipper manipulation goes for you.
  4. I am gaming T350’s with my first sojourn with senior shafts. While I am pleased the 4° upright did/does seem somewhat excessive that the Titleist fitter put me in. I find myself hitting further left.
  5. Good Tuesday morning my fellow spies…. You want sun and heat… come with me. Headed back to the Cartel sanctuary ( a.k.a. Texas-Mexican border ) Supposedly temperatures will be at or break 100° the next couple of days. Hoping the drive doesn’t get to the hands and wrists to much… Looking forward to using them in “ mentoring “ the youngsters on the work site. @Northern Monkey I’ll report back my success or lack of success, in a day or so. @Josh Parker’s article was an interesting read and gave cause to ponder some things. At the risk of coming across as an entitled privileged old fart.. Seems that these ready golf protocols are like work protocols… those along with basic common sense seem to maybe come into play more on public courses where golfers are at times put on a conveyer belt of tee times. The Ancient Agers play a round on either side of 4 hours and pretty much play old school style with lots of time looking for lost balls and trash talking at all times. Here is to hoping that this day is totally yours in the making and the outcome.
  6. While a great read… Some of ready golf seems to much like a work protocol. I play to have fun. Although I will readily admit that recently my game has been more like torture.
  7. Spent the day getting ready to leave the “ Dark Kingdom “ for a few days to head off to work. Anxious to see if the hands and wrists handle the driving and the fist shaking as well as they handled 116 swings of a golf club including the putter.
  8. Welcome…. Looking forward to you sharing your insights and information with us.
  9. Happy birthday…At times as a husband, I envy those like you that still have “ Free Will “
  10. Interesting article… Gives one, some things to ponder.
  11. Continued good thoughts and wishes for both you and your lady for her fast and complete medical recovery……. I went from steel to AeroTech SteelFiber shafts in my irons about 7 yrs.ago…. Still play Aerotech in my hybrids and wedges. Only play 7-PW in irons in the Titleist 350’s. Continuing with using graphite shafts for those irons. Went to senior citizen graphite shafts in those with ( Mitsubishi Tensei AV Red AM2 ) Senior/light/action. The orthopedic specialist I recently went to about my hands and wrists believes that the vast majority of nerve and joint damage is from a lifetime of atrocious life style choices and that golf was at worse at the periphery of causing damage. Unfortunately playing golf did and possibly will accentuate the pain in the hands and wrists. I have had to also attempt to change from a steep attack angle swing to more of a sweeping style.. That isn’t going so well, so far. It is still a work in progress.
  12. Welcome… Kick back, make yourself comfortable and stay awhile.
  13. Welcome… Some of us are dinosaurs in our own right…
  14. Thank you… Pain level has been surprisingly low. I am believing that I may be flinching, bailing out , and /or easing a tad to much into the downswing. I have hit a few shots that would have anyone in any language asking; “ What the hell was that suppose to be “ …. Still, it is good to be back, real good. Need to keep my focus on work for the next few days, then back to golf. Good luck with your round.. Fairways and greens.
  15. Welcome… IF you decide to a return to the stable of the Club Ho… there are a multitude of possibilities for facilitators to choose from
  16. Welcome…. No matter if you are a hacker or a scratch player.. IF you are playing, you are a winner.
  17. Monday morning has arrived with work as its calling card. “ Those people “ will be extracting their pound of flesh from me for this next coming week. Yesterday, was able to get in a few holes of my second round back before the rain ended the day. Being out on the course was marvelous, trash talking with my playing partners was fabulous, and my play was absolutely horrendous. NO more attempts at golf until this coming weekend. As we start the week, I would like to share with the many of the forum that are dog people….. Have a magnificent start to your week my fellow spies…
  18. Go figure…. I just got off golf IR that was somewhat instigated by you-know-who. Today was my second round back and “ BAM ️ “ the sky opened up and tried to turn the golf course into a marina. I was left with trying to deal with this… Crawled home complaining about the nasty turn of events caused by “ Mother Nature “. The wife-person chimed in that I should just be happy that there was a female that care enough about me to keep me from possibly hurting myself. I calmly steeled myself and answered; “ Good one “ to the Haranguing Highness. Took a nice hot shower and am now planning some sort of insubordination retaliation that won’t end up in my getting hurt or annihilated. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday my friends.. May it be safe and peaceful.
  19. @Erin B… Hope you were able to get in a round..
  20. I am using Aerotech SteelFiber Private Reserve i90 on my 2.0 Edison Enforcer wedges.
  21. Good Sunday morning on this Cinco de Mayo my fellow spies. No major physical effects of returning to the addiction that we all have willing succumbed to. Hands and wrists feel remarkably good. So.. the only adult thing to do is after a Cinco de Mayo celebratory breakfast including Bloody and Virgin Maria’s is to sally forth and play around round to garner additional data on the physical status of my hands and wrists. As is the case with others in the multitude of indentured husband servitude…. I had to ask the permission of the She being of Scheduling. I was granted royal leave to go play. There were a lot of caveats with that permission, but to be honest, I quit paying attention once I heard her highness say.. “ Sure,… blah, blah, blah.. “. Not sure if it was because of all the sensory deprivation that they had to endure the last month or so, or what, but strangely enough, during yesterday’s round the 2.0 Edison Enforcer wedges play exceptionally well. That is until heading to the 10th hole when someone in the group yelled my name, asking if I wanted anything from the clubhouse. It was as if the Edison’s finally realized who I was. They immediately shut down and quit working on the entire back 9. The only bit of actual data that I have that might be of use to others is that I got to use the “ Club Scrubber “. It worker very well and did a good job on cleaning the clubs. Didn’t really get to use it much on golf balls as most of them ended up in water hazards or lost OB before needing to be cleaned. The 2-3 ounces of water in the scrubber lasted the whole round compared to a towel that had to be re-wetted. It was only 91° yesterday, so still need to see how it performs in the +\- 100° days that are fast headed our way. Enjoy your Sunday my fellow spies.
  22. Houston area is flooding.. Some areas an excess of 10 inches of rain in a 48 hr. timeframe. There might be a fellow spy that lives in that green part of Texas that could use the gear… Good on you, good on you indeed, for thinking of playing it forward.
