It’s Monday and I don’t care… Still a great morning my fellow spies. I played well again yesterday. Been a longer time since I played well in back to back rounds. That I played well in the challenging chilly weather conditions of temperatures below 90 ( lying weather people ) on the front nine was quite a surprise. In other news, the Lady of the land was not quite thrilled with my return from self imposed exile. I was promptly sent to solitary confinement. I was also informed that there will be a monumental regal announcement this morning. May we all succeed in besting whatever this Monday may bring. I plan on taking advantage of whatever time I have left in the “ Husband holding cell “ by engaging in and meditating/ reflecting on the following:

Sunday my fellow spies and I am still eluding the mandates of her highness. Played well ( for me ) and just had a fun enjoyable day. Playing again today but waiting until after lunch as autumn has arrived in Texas. Temperature won’t get above 90 degrees until noon. Will be interested in seeing the reviews of the Edison’s compared to the Indie’s. My short game is still MIA. Enjoy your Sunday with your friends, family, or by yourself. I will be joining other fugitive serf spouses in defiance of royal mandates… When captured (we always end up getting caught or just get tired and go to our respective dungeons on our own) will hope for mercy by wearing the shirt below.. The Queen of Queens is blind as a bat, so hoping she misses the fine print.

It is Saturday my spies and I managed to get safely to the house before the sunrise. Now, to muster the strength and faith to bluster my way pass any of the demands made by the “anointed one”. The possibility of my revolt will certainly be severely quashed by Monday morning by the “Princess of Pain”, but until then FREEDOM or in this case GOLF is in the offing…. May all of us find our own strength and faith to do what must be done in seizing the weekend.

Slipped,tripped, and fell into Friday my fellow spies… Still having to actually earn my daily bread. Hoping for golf sometime this weekend. Should be able to head to the house sometime today. Depends on the corporate higher up’s. Work team is short handed. I do not have a lot of faith in HR’s strategy in getting more hands, as they have tried and failed with this strategy before. Deep breath my friends… It is Friday and freedom is at hand.

Golf is a continuing “ fluid “ ( so many balls in the water ) situation. I started playing golf as an opportunity to try many a different venue to drink alcohol at, as well as a activity to partake in as I refined my trash talking talent. Scoring and playing ability had a minimal importance in my golf game Fast forward many decades and between the totalitarianism of the monarch of the family and her phalanx of so-called medical experts; alcohol usage is fast becoming a fading memory. The vast majority of Ancient Agers that I play golf with are hard of hearing, so my trash talking falls on mostly deaf ears. This has forced me to learn to game a somewhat respectfully looking golf game. I have broken 80 more times since I turned 70 ( now almost 72 years old ) years of age than I ever did the 54 years before getting to the 70 year old mark. Golf is what we each make of it. May we all find a way to find some fun in our golf

Wednesday, my spies; the day that can’t decide what other days of the week to ally with. Whew… I know Texas is big, so big, so hugely big, but man; I believe I crossed multiple time zones getting to the location site. The site itself is so remote and isolated that the Mexican Cartels probably don’t know of it’s existence. This positive for the location site is that it will aid my golf practice in providing me hundreds of acres in which I can practice my wastrel area shots, that are sadly, one of my primary golf shots. In regards to the work location. Noticing the sign posted at the entrance of the location access reminded me how the evolution of the work team continues in trying to put a capital D in diversity….. May your day be like how we all want are golf games, hazard free.

Well, good morning my spies on a Tuesday that is trying to be like a leftover Monday. Feel like her highness’s medical “ expert “ poked, prodded, jabbed, bled, and beat me like a rented mule during the exam yesterday. His conclusion was that I need more tests. Packing to leave for my next and seemingly never ending adventure into the “ Work World “. Her majesty is preparing to head out to engage in some kind of activities that the leader of the realm does in person. She way, way to cheerfully informed me as she was going out the door, not to worry about my up coming medical tests. That she will stoically go the extra mile for me while I live and when I die. Hope everyone has golf in their day. Whatever this Tuesday may bring your way… Read the fine print!!!

Yikes! and double Yikes!!…. Monday the day the Almighy ( not the wife person the other one ) invented to make Tuesday look good is over half gone and so is yours truly. To begin with, those “ people “ that pay my wages, are after me to earn them again, so off I go tomorrow evening to another uncivilized barren part of Texas. Then while feeling sorry for myself the other Almighty ( the wife person ) entered the room and informed me I have a doctor’s appointment that she took upon herself to make for me late this afternoon. I attempted to protest but got the “ look “ and thought better of it. So, I am hoping this doctor is not some fly-by-night veterinarian she has found to try and legally have me put “down”…. As I head for the car using my subservient shuffle of the indentured; for a fleeting second the below flashed through my mind. Take care of yourself and those you care for….

Thanks tony@CIC….. I have always played my wedges by feel. Either my hands are going stone cold on me or my 1.5 year old SnakeBites just have nothing left to give. Looking forward to the Edison testing. I will readily admit to being biased towards Texas and Texas products. So if the Texas Riviera, Edison’s perform well in testing, I may give them ago. I still enjoy your cereal.

SUNDAY, Sunday, sunday…. My spies The original day of rest is now the day of replay and/or finishing whatever went down on Saturday. The Ancient Agers are once again venturing off into the breech of golf world. We decided to start at O’Dark thirty and see how many holes we can get in before our bodies start with the.. “ Just what in heck do you think you are doing” complaints and warnings. My friends enjoy your day in whatever you do. If you are with someone who mentions that tomorrow is Monday, feel free to be like me and give them a severe verbal reprimand and laser like stare…. Unless that is, you are somehow with my wife and she is the one reminding everybody about tomorrow being Monday… In that scenario I would recommend a very feeble “Yeah, thanks” and then make a RUN for it.

Saturday…. My fellow spies, this is still the big game day of the week for the Ancient Agers. My group of antiques get more and more like an NFL football team every weekend. Before starting the day’s play we have to sort out who is on the IR list, who needs to go to the trainer and get taped/braced for play. Additionally, a few of the “ players “ have their respective need to or go to drugs including one or two that use the syringe before ascending the first tee. May you all have an excellent day and success in whatever activity you participate or partake in.

Dang it…. Here is hoping the little one is better real fast. As I have stated in other posts…As an elderly individual, I am a big fan of the little ones. Especially the newborns, they are like the elderly; NO social filter but with lots more energy.

Friday, time to break out the clubs, my fellow golf felons…. Had a relaxing and decompressing time on the course on Thursday. Dispatched quite a few golf balls to the hereafter… including sending some off with a Viking funeral ( sans the fire or boat part ) sent others off on their very own Lewis & Clark like expedition. Finally had a meeting last night about the long gossiped about critter and vermin invasion of the course. Short version is that the exotic ranch next to the course had a massive game containment fence failure.. This allowed an unspecified number of animals to illegally migrate from the ranch. The vast majority of the animals are considered to be harmless to semi-harmless with a couple to be very, oh so very wary of. Unfortunately evidence has been found of the demise ( no body found ) of one of animals on the course. This was one of the reasons for the short term prohibition of singles play. Anyway, this will make for some interesting changing and adding to the local rules of “ relief from hazards “ like those used in places like Alaska. Not meaning to offend but thought I would include the evidence of the probable demise of the creature I mentioned earlier…. So my friends, it is very possible that I am looking at a Wild Weekend in the offing. Wild wife at the house and Wildlife on the golf course. I ‘ll take my chances with the Wildlife on the course.

It is Thursday… while not a total freedom day at least a day I am “ allowed “ to play golf. Headed off for an early tee time before you know who has a change of plans for me. The wife person liked the money part of my work contract. She was not thrill with the lack of international work possibilities. The biggest issue was my reaction to her response about my extreme amount of guaranteed time off. I had fully expected her to be upset or disgruntled about the time off, however her response was that, with that much time off she was signing us up for the “ Bonus Grandparents “ program. I was so surprised by this that I just blurted out something along the lines of; “ Not without a paternity test “. Well that was not the answer the Royal one found acceptable. So, after golf I am being confined to my husband holding cell to read the book below and then discuss the book with the female leader so we can examine and discuss my position of subjugation in our relationship…. This is not going to turn out well for me. So, that is why I am leaving 3 hrs. early for my tee time and leaving my husband tracking device ( smart phone ) at the house. Have a bang up Thursday, if playing golf, play like it is your last time playing, I know I am…

Finally finished with the fantasy world at corporate headquarters. The financial group is planning some very ambitious, aggressive, an at the very least some sketchy business revenue modeling. Just couldn’t bring myself to try and explain that this is why that groups c-suite are so young. That something like this was tried about 7 years ago with the outcome being that most of the former c-suites now being forcibly retired and being the occupants at an all inclusive resort in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. Headed back to my domicile of indentured marital bliss. Not looking forward to explaining to the female high mucky-muck that my new employtant contract is not exactly what she had wanted or had in mind. Trying to keep my eye on the prize of golf tomorrow. Just have to dodge whatever slings and arrows that will be directed at me by my beloved after explaining my new work contract…. Pray for me.

My fellow spies… It is Wednesday, the day we start wandering out of the wilderness of the work week towards the salvation that Saturday and Sunday seemingly offers. Survived yesterday’s management mind numbing meetings…..Spent the day in different settings with different numbers to discuss the same thing “ Decision Making “ the how’s, why’s , who’s, and outcomes. My spill was twofold.. One; that different parties will see the outcome of the decision made, well… differently ( Not exactly rocket science ). Secondly, there will probably be those who will silently chafe if not outright engage in rebelling at said decision.. One more day in the corporate community, today is with the marketing and financial bigwigs… Should be interesting but definitely not fun. This group is very young.. Within the last decade the most serious issue facing them was who to take to PROM. Be good to each other and to yourself.

Tuesday is here my fellow spies, meaning that thankfully Monday is gone… My career planing review is over with.The negatives…First the biggest one, corporate is on boarding a bunch of new out of the box engineers and technicians, meaning NO retirement package was in the offing for me . Secondly I got reprimanded for not adhering to corporate culture ( aka. Doesn’t play well with others ). The positives…Kept the current “employtant” contract with more than decent increases in the different levels of compensation. Despite the desires and wishes of she who would rule the world, NO international assignments. Finally, when asked for future career plans; I stated the same as always… To just see another sunrise and to be left alone as much as possible by corporate. Have only another day or so having to deal with c-suite’s . Having multilevel management meetings ( playdates) today. Looking forward to an abundance of golf this weekend as a sanctuary from those who pay my wages and the “she” who rules my life… May today be the best Tuesday you and yours have ever had…

It’s Monday, yuck Monday. Make of it as you will. No golf for me for a few days. First on the personal relationship front; Yay me!!! Got a reprieve and pardon from “ Husband Death Row “ by the supreme ruler of the family unit. Evidently the director of the charity and the wife person are friends/ acquaintances. According to the director, Holly, she attributes the increase in donations at their golf/auction event at least in part due to my theatrics. So… the leader of our pack is setting me free. Decided not to push it and get any attaboys as I still don’t know or remember who Holly is, the name of the charity, or what they do. Preparing to head off to corporate headquarters for my career pathing review ( aka. What do you want to be when you grow up ). Strange part is the Household Highness has just strongly suggested that if offered again this year that I at least consider the position of the on site International Hazardous Troubleshooting team leader. She then kissed my cheek, smiled, and left the room while uttering “ Safe Travels”….. Yeah right. As you start your week my spies, may I advise that you never allow family, work, or third parties define the metrics to be used in life…. Could very well hamper your desired outcome. Those that get to play golf today… Enjoy and play on your own terms.

Thanks, that is a great boost in helping me decide between the Indie’s and the Edison’s…. Now all I have to do is hope the spousal power on high agrees with my appeal and cancels her financial judgment she enacted against me.

For those few of us that have a significant attention deficit issue compounded by a very probable impending huge reduction in husband allowance ( due to certain recent behavioral actions )…….
