Good morning and blessings on you and yours my friends. I have evidently put the doom and gloom of black into Black Friday. Short version….The wife’s trip came unglued. I opened my mouth without thinking ( Yeah, I know, so what’s new about that )… and suggested that we go somewhere together. To my horror, the wife person not only said yes, but for me to pick the destination. Only caveat was that it had to be warm. So, we have left Texas and are now in Florida. I am finishing getting tee times and the “ Empress of Economic Stimulus” is looking up shopping venues. I have no expectations of this ending either well or cheaply. During times of woe or self inflicted pain it is good to try and remember Here is hoping that this “Florida Folly” is survivable. May life treat you and yours with peace, joy, and love…

Wondering what the metrics are about the specific time the 2024 goals can start. I have managed to get myself in position to try 4 new venues in the next 6 days..So @Jnoble89 are these courses just practice for 2024 or do they count for 2024? I will force myself to accept whatever the ruling turns out to be.

Good job in helping with facilitating the purchase of another spy. So much good happening from one fellow MGS to another. In my case I am still quite grateful to @Josh Parker for being willing to throw himself under the bus and being a foil for my wife’s ire at my purchase of the set of Edison customized wedges. He is a kind and extremely brave man. Hopefully Texas is large enough for both of us to avert the scourge of my royal ruler’s revenge.

I am fearful of getting the combination of both the wife person and the Medicos telling me I have to put golf and work on the shelf.

All righty then… Thanksgiving eve is upon us. Work Monday turned out to be one of those days that did not have enough hours in it and ran way too much into Tuesday. Crawled home yesterday and now done with work and “ Those People “ for the rest month. The female royal being has decided that after a catch-as-catch can meal at home tomorrow morning, we will spend the day as stoop labor at a couple of community meals for the less fortunate. The “she being” will be out front doing meet and greets and enabling those that need aid. Your’s truly will be doing grunt work in the kitchen(s). I actually like these kind of activities as I consider it my partial payment back to the community for being pretty much a bane on society most of the year. My caring “ Beast Bride “ has also decided to galavant around the state the rest of the holiday weekend and into next week. She ask if I want to join her… I politely declined the offer while screaming; “ HARD PASS “ in my head. She asked, what I was going to do and where I was going to go? I just nonchalantly said I would find somewhere to go and something to do. . I plan on spending the rest of the day planning where to run to, that would involve /include golf. May you all have a fantastic holiday and remember and be mindful that there are those species around us that just don’t get the whole Thanksgiving vibe.

Monday my spies… Mondays on a major holiday week always seem more of an annoyance than a pure normal pain in the you know what…. Except “ Those People “ are intent on making my last day my of work for the month intolerably long. Have a zoom meeting this morning about proper planning for a holiday week.. What the ••••• Having to do the Zoom meeting will add at least 4 hours to the day for those of us traveling to work locations as we will have to wait until the meeting is over to head out. Rant and venting over. On to more important people and things. First @sirchunksalot good luck at the Medicos today. Hoping that the weather in everybody’s area allows for safe travel and possibly some golf. Her highness is still doing last minute planning for the coming week; hoping I am not invited, infected with , or involved in any of those royal pains… err plans. Have a good day my friends.

Annnnd… Just like that the rumor of Paige Spiranac being on air in some capacity for the broadcast of the Hero World Challenge is making the rounds… Golf plus soft porn. Sort of reminiscent of the late, late Hooter’s Tour. With Zach Johnson and Brandt Snedeker losing their tour cards, they may add to the plethora of choices/ options out there.

Not wanting to hijack the thread but… What are everyone’s thoughts on shipping clubs instead of taking them with you on flights? For those that shipped their clouds; did you find the cost worth the protection and so-called convenience? TIA

Eeeeks.. So much for Sunday being a day of rest and reflection. Weather will start in the 60’s and end up in the mid to high 70’s with little wind. Great weather for golf…. But NO… She who would rule all; wants to put back everything we sorted and cleaned yesterday. I am both humbled and embarrassed by the amount of “ stuff “ we have accumulated. Humble and grateful to be able to have so much; embarrassed that our stuff has stuff. When I inquired about what was on the menu and where the Thanksgiving menu would be served; the wife person informed me she that for multiple days she was making her favorite thing(s) for meals… RESERVATIONS. As we prepare for the upcoming holiday week here in the USA, remember to embrace this time of gatherings, family, friends, fun, and food that we all are gifted with…. Well, to be true-full not everyone and everything is happy about the coming holiday.

Hopefully the annual invasion of Winter Texans is over and they are somewhat settled and sedate. The Texas Riviera has come back big since Harvey, some would say, too big.

Good morning my fellow spies. A gorgeous Saturday morning is in the offing to start the weekend. Today has 60’s to start will end in the mid 70’s, with little wind. A perfect day for golf ( then again almost any day is a perfect day for golf ). Yet, NO golf for me, going to be a continuation of the never ending husband subjection as a beast of burden exercise. The “ Monstrous Monarch “ wants to sort and clean around the royal domicile. So an agony an angst filled day is at hand For those traveling or having guests coming this weekend for an early start to the holiday week, safe travels.

Way late to the thread today.. I am going with the excuse that I have been in as thick a fog as we had this morning trying to tee off. Weather and the fog finally broke, evidently my fog did not. I vaguely remember playing so-so to poorly. I did hit some nice 1/2 to 3/4 swing shots with the Edison 49°. As I posted in the Edison thread; the club just feels right. Good stopping action and the trajectory was lower than my normal gamer. Distance was usually long but not outrageously so. Not sure what the wife person has on her grind the husband into the ground list; but would be willing to bet that there is not a golf option. Plan on calling it a very early evening. May this weekend bring joy, comfort, rest, and golf for those that can find a way or a venue.

Played my 49° on the course for the really real first time. Never had a need for a full force shot with the club during the round. Had a few 1/2 to 3/4 swing shots. All had lower trajectory than my normal gamer. Didn’t really mishit any of those shots. None went shorter than desired and most went a little longer than I was expecting. Good stopping action. This is highly subjective, but the club just felt good swinging it. Felt like it was in a slot. Will spend a couple of more rounds focusing in on the 49° then will start to see what the 55° can do.

With the recent hype about AI putters.. I have been telling the young flat bellies that make fun of the C-1 that the C-1 was an AI putter before there was AI.

I play the 430 SFT…. The $40 would easily be worth the price to me knowing what I know now about my results. Now, I played the 425 SFT and not the 425 max before the current 430. I just feel more confident in where the 430 shots are going to end up.

Daddy training never ends… There is always a TED talk in there somewhere…… I missed a lot today, including the community call. I will venture that possibly the wife person, induced the blood taking leeches to take more blood than they needed to… Had to take a nap to have enough energy to go to sleep tonight.
