  1. I too had a full bag fitting there and I felt the putter fitting was a touch short. I admittedly was there for Woods and Irons and the cost of the fitting only made sense to book a full bag. The data from the SAM putt lab was very cool however my swing with the sensor on seemed wierd. I wish he gave me some "practice stokes" before going full test mode. But this was also after pounding about 180 balls so I think I was a worn out. In the end it was a great experience I was the only appointment that day so I spent about 5.5 hours in what should have been 4 hours.
  2. When you think about it working in a high volume golf store probably isn't the most enjoyable. The amount of different personalities that come in day-to-day is probably exhausting therefore the lack of communication from them during your interaction. (Not suggesting at all that you carried any of these) But like average golfers who think they are scratch or poor golfers who should probably spend $ on lessons instead of the new driver when last years model "just doesn't feel right" and so on. In the end if the club is meant for you and you for it, buy it. Maybe just try a different store if you felt like they don't deserve your business.
  3. IMO, this is 100% the player and 0% the method of travel. Fast players play fast slow players play slow. Its the oblivious people that are the most annoying and social players I believe are the worst because they travel in packs and don't think about their next shot because they are tied into the convo.
  4. If you don't feel comfortable don't buy it. Did they give you a side eye after you went to return it? However I am curious on a few things, Had you fell in love with the red putter would they have given you red cover? Maybe they have equal red putter to cover combos and if the give a red one they are only shorting someone else down the road. Last did you pay MSRP? If it was discounted because of age, condition or available accessories the salesperson probably could have done better explaining why a headcover wasn't given and why others had an upcharge. If it was full price with no headcover that should have been included shame on them. I've worked in retail and been in situations like this, I calmly explan the options with reasons/justifications for cost related conditions. And at the end I as politely as possibly say here's your options.. make a decision. But that only works if the salesperson does an effective job explaining the situation.
  5. Casual(ish). Shorts and Polo, almost never tucked in, Hat always coordinates with the short/shirt combo. Polos are all sold maybe a subtle stipes. I think "bold" or "flashy" shirts from OP look cool but I'm not confident/bold/flashy enough to pull the trigger and buy one. My local course is a 9 hole Muni so cold weather days are jeans(Yup). I don't travel to nicer courses when it's below 60 so I haven't had the need to buy golf pants. However Costo has/had some nice Greg Norman branded pants(sorry Liv haters) for $20ea. I picked up 4 different colors for work and possibly high class golf.
  6. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Been Playing since I was 5-6(almost 30 years). Work Life and kids are to getting to the age where I can start playing more and dedicating more time to improving vs just playing. No official GHIN but local Muni Men's League HDCP on 9 holes is 4 (I think it translates to 9-10 GHIN) Typically shooting 38-42. Being a 9 Hole track I rarely get 18 in. What do you love about golf? I love the constant challenge, the felling that you can always improve and that it is me vs the course and no one else. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? Randomly stumbled on it, looking to learn more about various tech, tools and equipment. The idea of having a chance at being a tester transitioned me from a reader to a member. Where are you from? What is your home course? Central MN, PMGC 9 Hole Par 35 What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best part about MN golf is the weather. Worst part about MN Golf is the weather. Realistic Playing season is only 5 Months (May 1st - Sept 30th) however when the snow clears in Mid-April, High 40s is playable and highs 50s is Short and T-shirt temp. Summer rarely gets to unbearable/unplayable temps. What do you do for a living? Electronics/Sales How’d you pick your user name? Character from Dumb and Dumber. (Blind Kid in the beginning) I have been using this name for 15+ years on various other platforms.
