  1. In High School I dreamed of playing in the NFL. Only had a few division III schools interested. Ended up going to a Division I school and decided concentrate on studies instead of attempting to walk on. Played a couple years of college/club level Rugby which I enjoyed but definitely couldn't keep up at the bar after matches. For players that get to that level I wish them great success, future health and hopefully a wonderful 2nd career after. Now golf on the other hand, one can still keep that up for decades and decades
  2. I recently bought some grips, now I just have to fire up the gumption and start on one. I have both a pancake compressor and tire inflator.
  3. My 3 wood is out and I've replaced it with a Callaway Mavrik 3 hybrid 18 degrees. I don't hit the hybrid as far, but I hit it much more consistently
  4. @CSiders12 Very sorry to hear, I hope you and your family find strength in each other as you get through this. @Northern Monkey I fully understand (now as a homeowner) that water can be the home owners biggest enemy @CFreddie Hope the 18 with you Dad goes great. I'm getting to the point where I truly value time with family. (Not the same opinion I had when the kids were teenagers) I'm up and about on this mid week day, caffeinated, logged in and looking forward to some time off next week. Waiting like a kid a Christmas to see what @GolfSpy_APH will reveal on Thursday!
  5. If you're an NFL fan staying for the draft might have been exciting. I completely understand that there's no place like home though
  6. No PGA this weekend !?!?! Time to track down the LPGA but I don't see Nelly on the field for the JM EAGLE LA CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY PLASTPRO
  7. Good morning and congrats to the testers! These test opportunities are on point. So much good stuff out there. Found out last night my son has my strong hoarding tendencies. His closet shelf ripped off the wall from "stuff" max overload. At least 60 pounds of T-shirts, not to mention all the other clothes and life related collections. In the words of Cat Stevens - "My boy was just like me"
  8. I'll be in a similar situation with my work league being the only consistent play as summer "adulting" responsibilities horn in on my golf schedule
  9. I ordered some grips from Amazon. Anyone want to weigh in on air compressor vs traditional install? I'm new to this and wouldn't mind a "grip install for dummies" tutorial
  10. Thanks for all the hard work and setup @GolfSpy_BEN Really looking forward putting up my first score
  11. Happy start of the week! @Josh Parker Hope your day improves @rkj427 Trying to strategically plan my in office day to avoid the NFL draft prep hullabaloo @ParFore74x I remember the hectic Spring sports days. We could have a soccer game at 20 degrees or a track meet at 75 degrees, often during the same week Some Spring neighbors arrived after all the rain last week.
  12. Same with me. A rusted out hand me down Ford Granada
  13. It's the weekend! I did sneak out for a quick 9. The weather was due to get warm and sunny. I found wind gusts, chill and some white frozen things drifting down from the skies. I did manage to par 10, 16 and 18. The 3 hardest handicap in the back nine. We won't talk about the easier holes. At 16 someone followed youtuber golfsidekick advice "to plant a feather, grow a birdie"
  14. Happy Friday! I've been awake since 3 am as well. No tee times for me today Coffee onboarding is starting to clear away the brain cobwebs. Lot of rain last night, local courses might be really soggy for a Saturday early quick 9 (before chorin')
  15. Happy Thursday all! Had a big tree come down a few houses away last evening. No injuries, took out some fences. A neighbors garage roof will need repair. Lost power. Utility crews were more than prompt, waited out some thunderstorms and got us back. Turns out I'm a big fan of electricity and the comforts of modern life.
  16. Top o' the morn all! April showers for my area today and tomorrow. I was able to get some practice in yesterday. Each day is getting a little bit nicer.
  17. Congrats All! Putters look awesome. Really hope they perform equally awesome through the testing.
  18. Good morning All! Tried out some 7 woods over the weekend and for some reason was absolutely crushing them. Now I'm trying to justify a reason to add one to the bag. @Kenny B @sirchunksalot I have the white coat syndrome too. I should ask if I can bring in 140 lbs of black labs with me to my next appointment to see how well they keep reading in check. As the weather improves here I'm working on more chipping practice. Fingers crossed that it translates to improvements on the course. Good weather here has me in an upbeat mood.
  19. So I was thinking about my love of burgers in the style of Dr Suess. I would eat them with a bun I would eat them in the sun.... then I decided to see how ChatGPT would spin a burger poem in the style of Dr Suess. In a land far away, where the burgers are grand, Lies a place quite fantastic, where flavors expand. With buns like fluffy clouds, and patties so bold, Let me tell you a tale, if the story unfolds. In the town of Whopperville, where the streets twist and twirl, There's a diner named Flippity's, home to the burger whirl. It's run by a chef, with a grin ear to ear, Whose creations bring joy, spreading far and near. Now, Flippity's burgers are quite a sight to behold, Stacked high with toppings, a marvel untold. There's the Cheesequake Deluxe, with gooey delight, And the Pickle Patty Plunge, a tangy bite just right. But the star of the show, the king of the plate, Is the Big Beefy Boogle, a true heavyweight. With lettuce and tomato, and onions galore, And a sauce so secret, you'll come back for more. The buns are like pillows, soft and so sweet, Holding together this masterpiece treat. With each juicy bite, you'll let out a cheer, For the magic of Flippity's, oh how it's clear! So if ever you find yourself in Whopperville's land, Make sure to stop by, it's quite simply grand. For in Flippity's diner, you'll find joy unbound, In every burger, a story profound.
  20. Happy Monday all! great weekend here after the all day rains on Thursday and Friday. Got 9 holes in, yard work started, and plenty of Masters viewing. Watched in amazement as Collin would put a nice shot on the green and almost always, Scottie would drop one closer to the pin. My other observation was the number of birdie putts that didn't drop for Bryson. It almost seemed like he'd hole the long ones and just couldn't get the line on 10 feet and under. Hope everyone has a great week!
  21. Happy Sunday Masters day. Pretty great viewing so far and can't wait to see how it all ends up. Not sure what the day holds yet (except for some Masters viewing)
  22. Happy Masters Weekend All! I am absolutely loving the limited ads while watching. I think the GHOST addition helps push option 1 over the top. Option 2 does look like fire though! On Pool news, my Rahm and Matsuyama picks barely made the cut. Sadly Clark did not.
