  1. I just started using SS. I like the easy of use and found most of the shots were captured and fairly accurate. The one place I did find it accurate was putting. I have auto putting selected and my distances were way. My fault on a couple holes for forgetting to mark the pins. Any insight on how to improve the put tracking during a round?
  2. New to shot scope and awaiting my X5. Can anyone tell me how SS handles shorter approach shots. For instance I may hit my 54 degree 110 yards, but I will use it for green side approaches, as well as distance wedges (50yd, 70 yds, 90 yds.....). Does it account to this or will my dispersion and dispersion and yardages be skewed with that club?
  3. check out Golf Genius. I have used it at several members guest and it is good for live scoring and leader boards. Might be cost prohibitive for something small.
  4. I recently picked one of these up off of Ebay. I re-shafted and put on a new grip. At address the putter appears to have a lot of loft. I asked Golf Galaxy to take some loft off and they wouldn't do it. They said that the head was designed for forward press and if they made any alteration to the loft then the neck could snap. Does any one have any experience with this or any thoughts?
  5. Take a look at Cool Clubs in Framingham/Natick. They are at the same location as Khor Golf. I did a loft and lie adjustment there a couple years back and the gentlemen that ran the place was extremely knowledgeable. They have a good selection of product, you can hit from indoors to out (to see ball flight), and the facilities are nice.
  6. I am attempting to walk more often heading to Bandon in May. Anyone have good suggestions for a lightweight carry bag. I have midsized grips and almost always carry 14 clubs. I am looking for something with a side pocket that will hold some rain gear and dividers that wont stick with my midsized grips. I have a Jones Trouper R that I like but the grips stick, the stand gets dis-attached from its base, and I feel like the straps are a little slippery. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  7. I am heading on a two man trip to Bandon in May. A couple questions for the Bandon Experts out there: 1. We are playing all 5 course but don't want to shell out the dough for caddies for all 5 rounds (I know everyone says to do so) what two course would you pick to have caddies on? 2. Anyone else gone in May and if so what kind of weather did you encounter? 3. Has anyone tried the new Ghost Grill steakhouse? Was it worth it? 4. Any other tips for a Bandon newbie?
  8. I would suggest True Blue and Caledonia. I have been twice in the past three years and greatly enjoyed these course. You can book directly through their website and include accommodation for relatively short money. There are also condos on Air Bib at the condos in the middle of the two course which is nice. If you pick one strategically you could walk to either course (though it is a bit of hike up Caledonia's drive). You cant beat the vibe at these two places. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and both course are spectacular. Depending on what you are looking for Pawley's Island (where the two courses and located and in South Myrtle) is a more relaxed and perhaps less contrived then the rest of Myrtle. Great place to focus on the golf. Cant go wrong here. You could mix in other course like Pawley's Plantation (newly renovated), Heritage, and Founder or hit some of the other course up on the way from the airport. Also check out Frank's Steakhouse one of the nights, another great spot. If you are looking for the discount of Myrtle and beautiful setting and course away from the hustle of Myrtle this is the spot.
  9. I was very interested in this putter. Gave the Two T CH a spin and shockingly was hitting everything I looked at on their putting green. I love the blue finish and the putter set up nice with no too much off set with the plumbers neck. The putter felt extremely light to me, not sure if others felt the same? The strike also felt a little muted which took some feel away. All in all it has me interested but I need to test it more. What do people think about throwing a KBS GPS shaft into one of these?
  10. I spent most the year gaming the new Scotty Super Select Newport 2.5. I like the putter a lot as it had consistent feel and speed control. I bought it at 35 inches and think I need to cut it down to have it feel more comfortable. I recently started switching the Toulon Azalea with the stroke lab shaft. I have been really enjoying the putter. It has a clean top line and a very understated profile. It is a light putter and great for quick greens. I was looking at putting in a graphite shaft in the Newport 2.5 and found that with the slant neck (which I almost exclusively game due to stroke and previous fitting input) this is very difficult. Anyone have any input on graphite or really any shaft with a stiff section towards the head of the putter?
