  1. My suggestion is to go to a reputable 2nd hand shop like 2nd swing or something like that to look for clubs that fit the length he needs, cause you can set filters for longer clubs. Then down the road he can go for something more customized once his game is improving.
  2. Don't have one but, on a wishlist id probably start with the Garmin or Rapsodo. Ultimately something portable to take to the range as I don't have the set up for a home space with net and all, if I did I would invest in a simulator set-up for what I feel would be better results to all for all phases of the game to be practiced. Hopefully one day after my kids college tuitions are all paid and I have some extra money!
  3. Congratulations to all the testers looking forward to reading opinions!
  4. Golf like anything else in life is a choice.....if a course has restrictions then it should be followed, if you don't like it then feel free to move along. Most courses I've been on private and public is simple a collared shirt and slacks or shorts, no denim. Honestly when it comes to the tour, I don't care if they can or can't wear shorts, that is a tour leadership decision. In many professions there is some kind of uniform, and that is determined by company leadership. Yes business casual is a uniform , and people in services industries typically wear uniforms or proper gear for safety, so since the tour is a business guidelines by leadership should be followed and if the players want a change they can push for it if it's that important to them... Have a great day all and good luck out there and hit'em well!
  5. I started using just the simple app on the Garmin watch and loved it, the GPS is pretty accurate when I compare to my friends rangefinder. Last year got the shot scope x5 and a year into it..... money should've went to a newer Garmin watch....now usually wear both but the amount of work extra work I have to do for the shotscope is really more of a pain in the area..
  6. Congratulations to all the testers, can't wait to read the results and evaluations
  7. I did read about the similarities in an article, honestly as we all experience, the cost of equipment is insane. I think as long as Costco didn't infringe on any pattents it's proof that gear can be made affordable....and their recourse is to tie it up in legal process to delay....if I find them in my store I'd probably get them purely on price point to try.
  8. I too have thought about the LAB Putters, but personally I seem to go back to Evnroll....
  9. At that price plenty of options, what I'm curious about is the front wheel swivel vs no swivel? I'm in the market for another one, because I gave mine to my kid to take back to school cause it was compact and he needed it and I can use my old not so compact Callaway Push Cart for now till I find another
  10. This for me stresses the importance of getting fitted, sometimes off the rack isn't the correct choice. A set of clubs is like getting a suit, having something that fits for you is always great!
