My plan for this year is iron shafts. I just do NOT know how to proceed with that. I was fitted in '19 in my Apex with Nippon 950 GH Taper Stiff at the age of 52. 5 years later .... no change, but my body seems to be telling me that perhaps I need to go to graphite. As I said, no clue what to do here. My assumption would be that it is probably time for another fitting and see what that results in. Advice or thoughts always welcomed!!

How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? Playing AT golf for 20+ years ... actual "playing golf" is debatable. 16 handicap.

I will turn 57 in October and the aches, groans and "pain" of getting effing old are certainly becoming a factor in my game (I use the term "game" lightly). I DO still carry a 5 iron and it is one of my 'confidently utilized' clubs, BUT distance with it is starting to wane slowly but surely. I have added a 7 wood to the bag of late (yes, I am a follower of trends unfortunately) and feel like I may be close to taking the 5-iron out .... but just no confidence at all with that 7 wood. I really think that my gapping is ALL screwed up and the last year plus has been a mess trying to figure all of that out.
