PaulG's Achievements

  1. I replaced my 3,4 and 5 irons with 5,7 and 9 woods. I hit then further with considerably better accuracy. Best decision I ever made golf wise.
  2. I replaced my 3,4 and 5 irons with a 5,7 and 9 woods. Best move i ever made. i can hit each about 10 yards further and the irons they replaced but the results are much better.
  3. When I bought new clubs last spring they came with Arrcos pre-installed. So I figured what the heck. So I downloaded the app and got signed up. But, when I compared the numbers it gave me versus what my Skycaddie was telling me the Arrcos numbers were 10-12 yards different. For example, Arrcos said my drive went 256 yards so I should of had 148 yards to the center of the green. However, my Skycaddie said I had 160 to the center. That kind of difference was pretty consistent. So after a half dozen rounds I took them off and tossed them in the junk drawer. Why would I be a good tester? I've been a beta tester for Microsoft Windows and Office for over 20 years. I've been a beta tester for Fitbit for over 12 years and I've been an America's Test Kitchen recipe tester for over 8 years. I think I have a pretty good idea of the kind of details a company wants to know about their products. I've never dropped out in the middle of a test or been late with a review. I just enjoy putting things through their paces.
  4. I have a Garmin Approach R10. I did a lot of research and it seemed that it's performance vs. it's price point (599.00) was highly rated. The first time I used it I was able set it up next to a Trackman so I could compare results. Distance was within 2-3 yards, club path and face angle was within 1-3 degrees. The only substantial difference was side spin. All in all I was very pleased with the results. Using the Garmin app you can download your practice sessions and review every shot with 15 different metrics.
  5. I got rid of my 4 and 5 irons and replaced them with a 7and 9 wood. I hit them both 7 yards longer and are much more forgiving on off center hits than the irons. Best move I've made since I got theTourAim.
  6. Callaway Paradym. When I was fit last spring it was 7 years longer on average than any of the 5 other drivers I hit. Dispersion was 12% better than #2.
