tincupflipper got a reaction from jbern in L.A.B. DF3 Putters - 2024 Forum Review
I just got the DF3. I tried it today on the course for the very first time. Surprisingly I didn't struggle with distance control. I mainly struggled with the 3-7 footers. Everything I read from people who have this putter is it's basically the easiest putter on short putts. I'm not sure why I'm struggling so much with it. I feel it's in my setup because when I address the ball and sole the DF3 it looks like it's setting closed. I don't have this issue with longer putts, just the shorter ones. My previous putter was a TaylorMade Spider X and I always putted well with it. Has any DF3 owners had a issue with shorter putts and their putter setting closed at address??? Any hints or information would be helpful.

I just got the LAB DF3. I used if for the first time today. I noticed that I was struggling with short putts more than anything. It seems like I'm having a set up issue with the putter. My normal gamer putter is the Taylormade Spider X and for the most part I'm pretty good putter. I had no issue with distance control with the DF3. My only issue came on the 6-footer and in when I seem to be missing the putts on the right side. I know you are supposed to play the ball forward with the DF3, but I couldn't get use to the sight of that so I keep it in the same spot as I normally would. Has anyone else had this issue. Everything I've seen and read say the short putts are basically easy.

I'm 6'2 and a very, very, very step swinger. I will take the longest and deepest divots you have ever seen. I have worked my way down to a 1.8 handicap so I'm not looking to adjust my swing or change my technic. My strongest part of my game is my putting. My weakest part is I sometimes catch my irons fat or on the toe. I have worked in the golf industry for 18 years and my clubs are fully fitted to the exact number and specs. My thought was to try a larger more game improvement iron with a larger sole, verse my blade irons. So, I bought a cheap set of Adams Super S irons to test my theory, and I found that I hit the larger sole iron fatter and crappier than my blades. I understand that they aren't fitted to me, but I can adjust to accommodate the irons. I know all about bounce and turf interactions. I just never thought I'd hit a smaller, sharper iron better than a larger sole club. I'm just curious, are there any other tall golfers who are very steep dealing with this same thing. It goes against all of my years of fittings, but all of the 10,000 fittings I did in my life where indoors in Launch Monitors. I don't believe I would have noticed this issue without being outside and on the grass to see the turf interactions. Any info would be helpful.

tincupflipper got a reaction from Rob Person in The Quality of Warrior Custom Clubs?
Guys, the company doesn't exist anymore. They closed up in 2019. I'm not supporting anyone. The clubs are only available in the secondhand market. Buying a set of pre-owned irons from someone isn't supporting Warrior Golf, it supporting the person who sold them to me. This isn't about ethics, what I asked was a simple question.

Before we go any further, I know about the warrior scam. Thats not what I'm talking about.... I'm thinking about trying graphite shafts in my irons. I stubble onto a set of Warriors TE irons 3-pw with graphite shafts for $40 shipped to me. I know it was a good deal for a full set of iron even if they are cheap. My question is, I'm a 3 handicap and I play in a few USGA events that the clubs have to conform. Surprisingly the Warriors TE irons are on the USGA Data Base which is what these tournaments follow. That means these clubs would have had to been tested by someone to make sure they qualify. My question is, if I try the iron out and like the way they feel, what is the quality of the clubs. I know they were manufactured in California and baring the Credit card fraud that they were doing, where the clubs well built. Right now, you can pick these clubs up on the cheap and I think people on here might like to hear about the quality of the equipment and not the scam that we all know about. So, if you have used the Warrior equipment and liked it and it was a good quality, please let me know. Any, are there any other single digit handicaps in here playing Warrior equipment?
