  1. We'll lets see, it resembles the throwing of a boomerang, only it usually disappears before it gets back to you
  2. I also felt like I should have been scantily dressed and standing on the street corner in the red light district, since I was hooking all day with the irons, 30 yard hooks with 8 irons, not good
  3. I had issues with my glutes as well they were firing way too much, and sometimes they were loud, other times they were SBD, but at least they were firing
  4. Play on Saturday, I've kind of decided that I need to have more fun, and try not to get so mad when it's not going good, and I've done pretty good, and Saturday was a good example of that, par on 1, and 9 on the front, par on 10, and birdie on 18. Everything in between was just that, ended with 90, and the thing was I didn't play that poorly. Chipping and putting was off horribly bad, 3 putted a few times, but chipping was awful. On a good note, one of the older guys that works at the course, and also the reigning club champion gave me some very helpful tips on the putting green before the round, so even though my putting was bad, it was actually much better, I just need to work with the tips I was given so it is more natural and less thought. I found myself thinking about the correction and forgot to think about the actual putt so I came up really short a lot, and a few I went way past, but the line was good and stroke was good, like is said I just need it to before natural and that will take some practice.
  5. Since I can't putt worth a crap anyway I would test one of these, no way I'm putting that kind if money on something that I haven't even put my hands on.
  6. Should be able to wear shorts for golf this weekend, not too band for Dec13

  7. Temp has to be 33 here before they open the course. They are starting to cover the greens at night to keep the frost off, so as long as the temp is good then we usually don't have issues.
  8. Here is how I finished last Saturday on 14,15,16,17,18. 6,6,2,6,4, that's double, double, birdie, double, birdie, for 41, it was a good 41 at that point, I love to hate this game sometimes.
  9. Rev I have started doing this more and more as the year progresses, more often than not when I try to go for it in 2 I end up with bogey, but when I lay up to 110-120 yards I often have a really good putt at birdie, and rarely shoot more than par. Perfect case, club championship last weekend, I was finishing very strong I birdied 15, bogey 16, birdie -7, and the finishing hole is par 5, I hit a very good drive , I has 245ish to the center of the green, 225 to the front I had a good lie ball slightly above my feet, I hit 3 wood trying to get eagle, hit a horrible shot and left myself short left with the pin back left, I had no shot, I had a 25 yard shot over the left deep bunker with no green, and no way to stop the ball, I had to play safe because of the bunker and ended up 60 feet away on the back right and 3 putted. Finished with 81 and I had an 8 on hole 12. If I would have laid up to 110 with my wedge, I could have had Easy shot into the left flag position and would have easily made par andost likely would have had a good chance for birdie, which would have been 79 with and 8. So many times I make the wrong decision and it costs my a lot. It's frustrating enough without have my head get on the way
  10. If I could putt (4 footers), I would have shot 78/76 over the weekend, I ended up 85//81. I had 4 three putts and 1 four putt on Saturday, And I missed 5 three-four footers Sunday, 81 with 5 missed short putts, and triple bogey on 12 Sunday.
  11. We were playing 2 man best ball, so I picked up a lot on the front nine, if I would have played each hole out, I think I would have scored somewhere around 60. Then I followed that up with 39 on the back nine. I think the majority of the issues I was having was between the ears, to much thinking out there, just need to get out of my own way.
  12. like donkey doo, i could not have played any worse on the front 9 today, absolutely horrid, makes me want to sell everything and just quit the game.
  13. I've been playing striking the ball very well lately, in the last 2 weeks I have recorded 77,79,81,79. My hcp index is down to 6.7. Biggest reason is I have been putting much better lately. The last 79 should have been much better, I shot bogey, bogey, double, to start the back nine, added another double on 15, which is also the easiest hole in the course, birdie on 18, and managed to post 41 on the back after posting 38 on the front.
  14. Just got back from playing, shot 77, yippee, had 2 doubles on the front along with 2 birdies, shot 39, i shot 38 on the back, and i missed a 2 footer on the par 3 13th, the funny thing about this round was that they just punched and sanded the greens on monday and tuesday so they were horrible, no problem, i will just shoot my best round of the year, stupid game this is.
  15. Last Saturday, 86, I missed 5 putts inside 5 feet, and 3 putted twice, I also, had three 40-foot "lag putts" that I didn't even get within 15 feet of the hole, my ball striking is good to very good right now, but i absolutely have lost all feeling on or around the greens. I would never say I am a good putter, but it's never been this horrible
  16. i turns more heads when you flip over the righty club and play the shot, i can hit the upside down 8 about 140, i can also play a pretty good wedge shot that way, i can play a 52* as a 100 yard club if i ad to, and i would play it just like i would play a normal 56, again just aiming to the left as the loft of the club will put some serious spin for a slice. it fun to goof around ike that sometimes.
  17. last Sunday I was invited to play with some of the guys i have met out at the club, we were playing partners, we got to hole 11, straight par 4, 350 ish, uphill, this is the longest 350 hole you will ever play, it plays more like 390-400 depending on wind, anyway, my partner pull hooked into the woods 80 yards from the tee, so from the tee, i am pretty much on my own so i played 3 wood from the tee, i pulled it slightly to the right, and i got lucky, it landed in the new pine straw, which kept it from going into the woods, and it about a foot from a tree, being a lefty i had no shot, so i told the guys, that they would get to see the upside down 8 iron played righty, from 150 out, i put it 10 yards from the green pitched it on to about 8 feet and made the par putt to tie the hole, i love making up shots like that, and yes i do occasionally practice hitting that shot, if you would like to try it, the 8 iron is the best club to do it with, and play it to slice.
  18. the one with the head coming off, it probably is the glue that broke down. Breaking the others over your shoulder sounds very odd, ive never seen anything like that, most clubs that i have seen break are down close to the hosel and what you are showing is breaks in the center of the shaft, i would definately get your swing looked at, the shafts may just be too weak and lightweight for your swing, some of the other guys or gals here will certainly be able to give you more insight into your shaft breaking issues.
  19. apparently not, size 12 is as big as they have, and thats not big enough
  20. i like these, i too may have a that box at my front door with shoes like that.
  21. Hey, if T can't send you another one, I'll be generous and send you mine if you like
  22. Got it today, pretty cool, it's actually my first poker chip marker, I know I am way behind the times
  23. No putter yet! I guess it doesn't matter until later this week, we still have snow.

  24. if I didnt have MGS i would have to talk to my wife. just kidding there. I come here because I love golf and everything about it. if you cant find something interesting about all of the aspects of golf on this site, well, you should give up the game.
  25. weather sucks here, new putter this weekend, first tee coming to my home club and my 10 yo son wants to go. he told me the other day that this golf thing is interesting to him.
