  1. I have never been to The Masters/Augusta, but I’d still choose just to play once.
  2. It comes down mostly to personal preference, but if you’re truly indifferent there are some factors that can influence your decision. I believe mainly it rests with what set you’re playing. If your in a players set or low handicap style set then I’d say use the specialty wedge. That player can benefit from the versatility the specialty wedge offers. If you’re in any sort of improvement club, I think it’s best to go with a set wedge. That player will benefit from the help the set is offering. Also, that player probably doesn’t need the multiple shot options the specialty wedge offers. They need to be grooving a singular swing and the set wedge offers that “help” and consistency with the other clubs.
  3. Everything is always on the chopping block. If it’s better it goes in. However, there is one thing that will forever be safe on my bag. The Groove It golf brush. Has a built in water reservoir with the best bristles, and the magnetic clip makes it easy to access. It’s super easy to use and my club grooves have never been cleaner. It will always be attached to my bag.
  4. I play a fairly traditional set up, 4-PW, 50, 54, 58. Plus I have different sets of the wedges with different grinds for different conditions. Im a bit extreme, haha. On a different note, while I’ve always had respect for Titleist (and still do), I’m not so sure anymore that their customer service is what we’d expect. Ordered custom Vokeys right when the Titanium Carbide coating came out. Customized stamping, paint fill, etc. and when they arrived, they were incorrect. I called/emailed about the issue and they simply would not rectify the issue. They told me I could purchase new wedges with the proper customization and return the incorrect ones. Spent quite a bit on the first set and felt pretty let down with them telling me I’d need to do it again to get it right. While I understand that it would be the same in the end, just not what I expected from Titleist.
  5. I really like the Vice Pro Plus. Distance is still there and spin control as well. I’ve also been trying out the PXG Xtreme golf ball and it is performing very well also. The PXG ball compression is quite high and you can definitely feel/hear it. It has a bit of a “clicky” sound in my opinion. However, the results are really good. Once you get used to the sound, it’s a phenomenal ball at a really good price. P
  6. I’m probably overly thorough with my wedge set up. I have two sets of gamers. Both sets are Vokey and both are 50/54/58. One set is low bounce 50.08F/54.08M/58.08M, and the second set is all high bounce 50.12F/54.12D/54.12D. Time of year and course conditions will determine which goes in the bag. I also carry a 50* on the iron set I case I want to play full shots. It also comes in and out of the bag accordingly.
