  1. For anyone looking to do business with a respectable company please check out 2nd Swing. Not only are their videos on youtube informational and interesting, their customer service is second to none. Hopefully this type of post is allowed. Check them out! Give them a call and speak with a down to earth human willing to help you as best they can.
  2. Srixon Z Star XV for me personally. Sometimes feels hard...but when you catch one clean they feel great. Don't over spin on full iron shots and usually create a large divot and stop within 3 feet of the divot.
  3. Going on 6 years of being married! I usually refer to her as Boss....when purchasing clubs I always have to check with my "CFO" lo.
  4. Can you educate us what "SWMBO's" stands for???
  5. Four old-timers were playing their weekly game of golf, and one remarked how nice it would be to wake up on Christmas morning, roll out of bed and without an argument, go directly to the golf course, meet his buddies and play a round. His buddies all chimed in and said, "Let's do it! We'll make it a priority, figure out a way and meet here early Christmas morning." Months later, that special morning arrived, and there they are on the golf course. The first guy said, "Boy, this game cost me a fortune! I bought my wife such a diamond ring that she can't take her eyes off if." The second guy said, "My wife is at home planning the cruise I gave her. She was up to her eyeballs in brochures." The third guy said, "Well my wife is at home admiring her new car, reading the manual." They all turned to the last guy in the group who is staring at them like they all had lost their minds. "I can't believe you all went to such expense for this golf game. I woke up, slapped my wife on the butt and said, 'Well babe, Merry Christmas! It's a great morning for either sex or golf....' "And she said, 'Take a sweater.'"
  6. Not sure. I do love the ZX7 irons though! Woods definitely something to look into....Srixon is sneaky good.
  7. I do not have any right now...but my fitter has a trackman so I need to schedule an appointment and let him reassess. Last time he had me on the trackman was for a fitting with my irons so I was only swinging my 7.
  8. Hello! I'll try to include all pertinent information in the thread but I'm sure I will miss something. I am needing some advice as to which shaft I need to use in my driver. I play a TM Sim 2 Max 9* in the standard setting. Both shafts that I have are 6.5 flex (xstiff) the black is 62grams and the green is 60grams. I have a driver swing speed of 110+ and usually play a soft fade, however, I'm pretty inconsistent. My club fitter/instructor recommended that I purchase a project X hzdrs smoke black shaft and he "tipped" it for me and I have been gaming that for awhile with some good results. When I purchased my TM though it came with a project X hzdrs smoke green shaft. I played yesterday and noticed that the hosel on my black shaft was coming loose a little bit (slight gap between shoulder and the adapter). I couldn't fix it on the course and didn't want to launch the club head! So I switched to the smoke green.....and started to hit some pretty good shots! I couldn't tell a difference between the feel and maybe I just got lucky on a few shots. What is everyone's thoughts on the smoke green overtaking the tipped smoke black?? I know it is a small sample size but it appears that for the near term I might be gaming the green!
  9. So I hit this club pretty consistently well actually. It is the length of my normal 5 iron with a graphite x-stiff shaft. I have all the confidence in the world with it but have noticed that it has started to as I mentioned "balloon" and not go as far. The reason I think I could replace/bend it stronger is that my normal 4 iron is also 23* and it can hit is 220 if I hit it well (not as consistent as this).
  10. I have a utility 4 iron that is 23* that I will usually pull if hitting 215-230. I have found that sometimes it will balloon in the air (too spinny?) and I will not hit it past 200. Should I get my current utility bent a bit stronger or just look to purchase a 2-3 utility iron?
  11. A farmer was sitting on his porch one day when a young man drives in and comes to the door. "Sir, I was driving by and noticed you had a lot of milkweed in your pasture. Would you mind if I went and got some milk?" "You don't get milk from the milkweed!" the farmer replied. "Oh yes" said the young man "I have a degree in Agriculture from Texas A&M, I know all about it". "Well, help yourself" said the farmer. He soon saw the young man coming back to his car with two buckets full of milk. The next day the farmer was again sitting on his porch when the same young man drove up. "Sir, yesterday when I was getting milk, I noticed you had some honeysuckle vine on the fence row. I wondered if you would mind if I got some honey?" "You don't get honey from honeysuckle!" said the farmer. Again the young man explained about his degree from A&M, so the farmer agreed to let him collect some honey. Soon the young man came back to his car with two buckets full of honey. The next day the same young man drove up to the farmer's house. "Sir, yesterday when I was getting the honey, I noticed you had some pussy willow trees down by the creek." The farmer jumped up and said "Let me get my boots and I'll go with ya!"
