SC Golf reacted to Patrick Dawes in Me And My Golf Glove - 2024 Forum Review
Just wanted to share a little post test update and what I think is another advantage of this glove in specific circumstance.
I was playing an early morning round yesterday as I had taken the day off work for some doctors appoints and as such as typical on the courses in New England this time of year it was a bit wet.  Now I used to use a Callaway wet weather glove on days like this before I had this glove for a little extra traction but unfortunately did not have one in decent shape on me this morning as I had recently cleaned out my bag so I decided to just use a regular glove to start the round to see if the new grip from the use of this product had settled in without the reminders the glove provides.
I was pleasantly surprised that the grip has seemed to settle in and be my "comfortable: grip and my routine of placing the club in the finger where the blue stripe would be and positioning so my knuckles wee visible all stayed with me.  What was less then pleasant was that after about 4 holes my glove was soaked and getting slick so I decided to change back to the me and my golf glove.  Honestly I liked it better in these damp conditions then some of the other wet weather gloves I have used.  With het extra grippy areas on the glove I had a very secure grip without having to use to much pressure and still had the confidence to swing the club full bore.  Additionally I feel like I got the additional group benefits without the extra bulk that some of the wet weather gloves have.  I don't know that this would hold up in a full rainstorm but for a general morning dew situation I think there are additional advantages to this glove as well as its training use.

I have only looked at the free ones they have sent and the ones that came with the glove I do like their videos they keep them short but informative and I find them easy to follow I have been thinking about some of there other training aids for winter as the glove has worked well for me and you get some access to there site with purchase and certain bundles at least form what I can tell.

    @Lefty11
I actually saw the most improvement in my driver with it really starting to pick up about 3 weeks into the testing.  It feels weird to start but once you get used to the new grip things pick up quickly, at least they did for me.  My driver has improved enough that I am actually thinking about changing the settings on my Callaway adjustable back into a Neutral from the draw bias as I have started to come out left more which never happened to me in the past.

Played a 36 hole competition yesterday and although I didn’t wear the glove I can say that it has definitely improved my game. My drives were all straight, previously I had a tendency to fade the ball, and decent distance. So much so that the other 3 I was playing with all noticed the improvement. I can quite confidently say that this is down to the change in my grip from using the glove. It was also pleasing to see that I maintained the grip set up when not using the glove

I don't think any piece of tech automatically connects to WiFi when you first turn it on. But, in the manual it states on page 11 how to set this up and, on page 14, bullet point 05 it states how to set preferences e.g. distance units.

I'm not sure if @fotofreddy had an experience with a previous model, but none of the concerns he has raised seem valid from a user manual perspective, so I'm a little confused. The wifi setup was seamless, although a poor experience could also be due to poor wifi in the room you're set up in. I've previously had people complain about the internet speed with starlink and when you question them about it, you find out they are battling because they're trying to access the wifi from 50m away from the router.

    ExPutt Match - @AverageSizedDog @buckpillar 8/21/2024
Played a couple matches against @AverageSizedDog tonight, we played random selected greens from random courses and had the Stimp set to 10.
The battles were really enjoyable, the AvaerageSizeDog  putted like a BIG DOG with great speed and distance control. The DOG drained a Birdie putt from another zip code that looked like it was a double breaker.
Since I placed the plexiglass under my mat, I have started putting very well, distance and speed control are currently at a premium, reading the greens and adjusting for the uphill downhill putts has gotten better.
ExPutt is winning my heart over in practice mode and really starting to love the matches, I still would like to see more data that is available in practice mode available in the gaming modes.
All in All, AverageSizeDog and I enjoyed the matches and even threw some emojis out.
Back to practicing and trying different greens and courses.
** I tried to video the match but the way the phone was reading the TV screen made it turn out pretty bad, I'm going to have to find a different way to video the matches. More to come on this one.**

Played another 18 yesterday with the glove and matched my PB. I do think part of this was down to the change in my grip from using this glove. I am now hitting the ball much straighter and the grip is feeling more natural.
Due to the glove I now have a different pre shot routine by running through the set up shown in the instructional video. This has helped with getting a consistent grip and I do feel it is improving my game. I’ll be interested to see if I manage to keep the same grip without the glove but I’m hoping that now I run through the pre shot set up I will.

I agree with @buckpillar .  Exputt is extremely easy to set up and is very portable. I roll up the mat when not is use so the cats don’t decide to scratch the mat. It takes all of a minute to put away the mat and the same to put is back down.
The mat when rolled up is smalller that a loaf of bread and has a nice bag to put it in. The entire system fits into a box about the size of a large shoe box.
I have taken the system over to my son’s house and used it there several times as well.

Played a round with two of my son’s yesterday. My oldest who is 30 has been over multiple time this past week using the Exputt. He was skeptical about how it would translate to putting improvement IRL. After our round he commented that the practice on the Exputt made a huge difference.

ExPutt review - ADDED a Putting Stroke trainer.
So, I was dumpster diving in my shed last evening I came across an old putting trainer that I got from The PGA Partners Club (Life Member) about 25 years ago. Similar to MyGolfSpy as they chose members randomly to test and review new products.
The trainer is named CLEARTRACK Putting Stroke Trainer, I placed it on the mat of the ExPutt and it fit perfect between the sensor markings and lines up perfectly with the markings on the mat.
I haven't got a chance to try it out yet, that will be tonight once I get back from Steelers training camp.
Here are some pictures of the ClearTrack on the ExPutt.

    ExPutt Match Play Extravaganza 8/7/2024
Todays matches went smooth from my perspective, I did not have any , absolutely no issues with the ExPutt working as designed. The program ran so smooooth, when you wanted to change your (line) aiming point on breaking putts, ExPutt moved swiftly without delay no matter if it was left or right, using the on mat arrows or with the remote.
I really enjoyed the random putting distances and positions for each players putts.  ExPutt --Great Job with the match play process.
We had 2 great matched last evening, first match was like the Olympics, we had @MissionMan from Australia and @pozzit and @buckpillar from the US.. Missionman start out fast with a long birdie put to take the lead with Pozzit and myself holding our own, as this match progressed Missionman increased his lead with another birdie putt from way downtown, leaving the fight for 2nd place to Pozzit and me. Pozzit made some crucial putts and I went brain dead and finished in 3rd place.
Match 2 between Pozzit and BuckPillar was battle to the end, through the first 7 holes we were all square, Pozzit and I were trading putts, he'd win a hole then I would win, but we got to the 8th hole and this is where Pozzit took the lead in the match and never looked back winning the final 2 holes and raising the trophy.
This was a great evening that I enjoyed tremendously, Missionman and Pozzit are rolling the rock very well and I still have some work to do with reading the greens.
Thank you gentlemen, I appreciated you taking the time out of your schedules to join the match. Looking forward to the next round.

I'm putting a brief update here but will include a longer update with pics in my main thread when I get a chance to get the pics uploaded.
Firstly a general comment based on my hand size and flexibility I was not able to fully match the suggested grip by covering the blue patch around the thumb of my top hand with my trail hand.  Based on the video and its description of hand positioning though this patch was still useful as a centering aid in the gripping process I just had to place my trail hand lower than the grip shown in the video (especially as I lock my top-hand pointer into the pinky of my trail hand in my grip - that's how I was taught to grip at least).
My three big takeaways from my first session which I think will act as a good base over the next couple of weeks while I try to swing more with this new grip style promoted by the glove are this though:
    1) The glove did at the very least give me more confidence in and a greater sense of consistency in my grip from swing to swing.  I felt more sure that I was gripping the club the same each time which did provide some added confidence (although after an hour session using the new grip style for about half my show, my trail forearm is a bit sore telling me I was using some new muscles with this grip style)
    2) Although my slice was not instantly cured I did get a little more consistent even with this first round of swings with my shot dispersion which I take as a win it is easier to fix a consistent problem than one that's all over the place
    3) I was able to use the glove with different grip sizes and styles although those who use smaller grips and have smaller hands will probably be able to match the video grip layout more completely than I was able to.
I will update my main post with images shortly I wanted to take some better pictures of gripping the club with different club grip sizes as I could not get good pictures one-handed at the golf lounge 18 where I was using Trackman to gather data.

I’m a little late in posting this update due to work commitments but I managed to get my first round in with the glove on Friday.
Having watched the instructional videos that are included with the glove I found that it was easy enough to hold the club as directed. The standout blue markings make this really easy to achieve so they clearly work as intended. It took a little getting used to as the grip felt different to usual but this just reinforced to me that my grip needed work and hadn’t been quite as it should to start with. Which was one of the reasons I applied for the test.
The first hole is a tricky par 3 of just under 200yds all uphill and a narrow approach of the tee. If you don’t hit it straight off the tee then you’re in trouble and I have always struggled with this hole. It’s a tough start to the round especially this time as it was a competition and I was the 1st in our group to tee off.
I went through the setup routine as shown in the video and used my 5 iron. I couldn’t have hit it any better if I tried. A lovely straight tee shot that ended up 23 feet from the pin. This massively boosted my confidence and impressed me with how much the glove could help.
The 2nd is a tight dog leg par 4 that I use my hybrid off the tee on. Filled with confidence from the 1st I stepped up and went through the same set up procedure. I then foolishly tried to absolutely cream it and as a result hit an awful slice. I think this was down to me trying to hit the ball too hard rather than sticking with my usual swing.
For the rest of the round I tried to just use a natural steady swing and I have to say that I found I was hitting the ball straighter more consistently. Any shots that went wayward seemed to be more down to my aim and the ball flight stayed pretty straight so on initial trial there does seem to be some merit to the claims made about the glove.
It was a warm day, high 80’s, so I was concerned about how the glove would hold up but I have to say it did pretty good. There were no sweat marks appearing on the back of the glove and my hand didn’t feel overly warm so a good start.
The glove does feel a little thicker than I prefer but this maybe just down to the change from what I’m used to and will monitor this, and the feel, through the test.
Overall I have to say it was a good start to the test and I’m interesting to see how things progress.

SC Golf reacted to Paul Hedrick in Me And My Golf Glove - 2024 Forum Review
My name is Paul and I am 68 years old, and I live in western Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley. We moved to Virginia in 2003 from Southern California, and boy oh boy, what a culture shock that was! I spent the first part of my career in IT, and later switched to sales.  The switch was a difficult one for me learning to relate to people rather than technology.  I started golf, oh, about 10 years ago.  Not for the reason of enjoying the game, but more to be able to spend time on the course with customers and prospects.  What I found out was….. I LOVE IT! I started with a set of used clubs; irons, fairways, driver, putter.  Took some lessons (the best choice I could have made), and later on my wife gifted me a set of fitted irons.  Since that time golf has become a “Money Pit” and certainly become an obsession for me.
I retired in March of 2023, but after getting into my wife’s way a lot around the house, she told me to go out and do something besides getting in her way!  I took a part time job.  I golf about once a week and have a practice about once a week as well.  I will say the part time job does help pay for my golf habit!
As I get older, I find that I struggle with keeping my weight up, and along the same lines, my muscle mass.  Being 6’1”, I struggle to keep my weight no lower than 170 pounds.  Having diabetes also compounds the issue for me.  Surprisingly, weaning an insulin pump on the course is not too much of an issue.
Thank you for the opportunity to test this product.  I will be comparing it to my current ‘goto’ glove: Bionic StableGrip Golf Glove. Keeping my grip has always been problematic for me.  I can feel the club moving during my down swing, and have found the Bionic helps with that.  I will also be considering durability and the weather as I evaluate.
    First Impressions:
I was anticipating the arrival of the glove on the 31st, but it did not show until yesterday, the 2nd.  Arriving home I found it on my doorstep.  Opening the box I found I was a little surprised at how soft and tacky it felt.  I had anticipated it being sticky on the blue channel in the palm of the glove, but found other areas, not blue, were rather gummy as well. Putting the glove on I found it was tighter than I normally wear.  When I submitted the size I wanted, I followed the manufacturer's site for measurement and chose a S/M size.  I normally wear a medium with my go to glove, the Bionic StableGrip Golf Glove.   I do not think this will cause an issue, but it is a bit snugger than I usually play.  I can flex and bend my left hand without issue, I find it an attractive glove.  Tomorrow I am going the the range for some practice time with it.  Seeing how it feels when hitting a ball, and again comparing it to the Bionic StableGrip.  After that, on Monday, I will play my first round of golf with it.  Also I do want to view all the videos the manufacture provides concerning this glove.
    Update 8/5/24
    Update:
I reviewed the 3 videos with the link provided, thought I understood everything and headed out to the range two days ago (Saturday) with the goal of playing my first round of golf today (Monday) with the new glove. Arriving at the range rather early on Saturday, early mostly because it was the weekend, I wanted to make sure I could get a spot.  The range I go to has many bays for hitting off a mat, but limited areas to hit off turf.  I have tried in the past to hit off a mat, and I just cannot achieve the results I want.  I was fortunate that I was the first to arrive and secured prime real estate on the turf.  Putting on the glove, doing some stretching, I start my normal routine on the range; starting with my pitching wedge, working my way up….pitching wedge, 9 iron, 8 iron, all the way to 4 iron.  Then I started next with my 3 hybrid, 5 wood, +4 wood and then Driver.  I finish the set with my 54 degree and 52 degree wedges, which are typically the worst part of my game.  That day, I COULD NOT HIT A BALL!  It would typically hook, and traditionally when I mis hit, I slice.  The distances were equally terrible.  I said some really bad words, Navy words even.  I was in 1972 to 1978, and I can still revert to that way of talking when I am really ramped up.  Leaving the range that day I was considering either selling my gear on Ebay, or even throwing them off a cliff.  Actually on the way home I had in mind a couple of great overlooks along the highway in the mountains that would have worked nicely.
Since my performance was so abysmal on Saturday, I decided to not play as planned today, rather return to the range and figure out what was going on.  Besides, it would have been a solo round and that is not my favorite anyway.  When I arrived I did the setup and hit a few balls.  What I discovered was I could not hit the ball with the setup as described in the videos:

When I did, I received the same results as on Saturday.  However this time, instead of reverting to Navy language I started adjusting my grip, and all of a sudden… Magic.  Using a grip closer to what I have always used, the ball flew longer and straighter than on Saturday, and in the case of the clubs that have traditionally caused me problems (5 iron, 4 iron, and 3 hybrid) much better than I have ever hit them.  Driver and fairways performed well, as well as my irons.  I still have work to do with my 54 and 53 degree wedges, but as of this point in time, I am feeling more confident in the glove.

    Final Review 10/31/24
My first impressions of this product were positive.  I really liked how it looked, and after I got used to how it felt on my hand, I liked that as well.  As I previously stated it felt a little tighter than my usual glove, but the more I used it, the better it felt.  One thing that I noticed immediately is how tacky, meaning sticky not crude, it was.  At the start I was not certain how that would play out, but again, the more I used the glove, the more I became comfortable with that aspect of the Glove.  Since in the beginning the glove was tighter on my hand, there was some adjustment in putting it on and taking it off.  Nothing that was a massive problem, just one more thing to get used to.  I believe it to be made of several materials.  White leather and some sort of black breathable material.  In the palm, thumb, and fingers is a white tacky material on top of the leather/  Finally there is a blue material on the knuckles, fingers and thumb that is used for alignment.  I cannot say as to whether or not other players noticed this glove, as I never concern myself with what others think. I found it comfortable to wear for 18 holes of golf, but that was after I became used to how snug it felt on my hand.

Where this glove failed, in my opinion, was the play.  I simply could grip the club as indicated in the training videos, nor hit the ball as long as I could with my usual golf glove, the Bionic StableGrip Golf Glove.  When I forced myself into the indicated grip, the results were abysmal, felt totally awkward, and the ball went nowhere.  When I used a grip more closely aligned to what felt natural to me, the shots were straighter, but around ten to twenty percent shorter.

    My Grading:
Initial Impression: 10 out of 10
I liked how it looked and how it felt on my hand.  I also liked the stickiness of the glove.

The Fit and Feel: 18 out of 20
As I previously mentioned, when I first put the Glove on my hand it felt too tight, or at least tighter than I was used to.  However as time went on it felt more and more comfortable.

On the Course: 5 out of 20
This is where the Gove truly failed for me.  I just could not grip the club as described in the training videos.  When I tried, I failed miserably.  I have not given up trying, but am close to giving up.

    Misc: 5 out of 20
I did enjoy the look and feel of the Glove.  I also liked the way the club felt in my hand when I used a grip that felt natural to me, and not the way indicated by the videos.  I liked the straighter shots I experienced when using the Club. The product arrived earlier than stated, that is always a positive.  I did not enjoy the multiple emails from the manufacturer attempting to get me to sign up for additional training.  Additionally I did not enjoy the shorter shot distances I experienced.

Play it or Trade it: 3 out of 20
I would not use this product for an important game, nor likely any game where I am tracking my handicap.  I am on the knife’s edge of reaching a handicap goal, and feel I will not get there using this Glove.  For what the retail price of this Glove is, it just would not be worth it to me.

To wrap it all up, this is not a glove for me.  While the look and feel are nice, the performance was just not there for me.  Perhaps it might work for a younger, more flexible player, but I just could not make it work.

Final Score: 41 out of 100
