  1. I have had the Rapsodo MLM Pro (prior to the MLM2Pro coming out) for a couple years - as others have said - works quite well - I use it both indoors and outdoors and just leave an earbud in on the range so it isn't shouting out information to everyone near me. In my garage, I cast from the iPhone to a TV on the wall so I'm not squinting at the iPhone screen for the quick video replays. Misses some shots (mostly crappy worm burners....), but overall quite good. Gives info on the session (dispersion and distance) versus other golfers and what to work on. Only major downside is that you really have to keep it in the shade, since once the iPhone heats up, the unit doesn't work. As it heats up, the camera on the iPhone shuts off, but you can still track info - but that only lasts for a bit. I've tried to shade it with the bag, golf shoe bag, etc, but if it is already hot out.... Overall been quite pleased with it and used the data and videos from it to get started with the pro here at the club to give a jumpstart on what I was trying to work on. I'd love to try the MLM2Pro, but with a functioning MLMPro, can't really justify it at this point.
  2. I have 'used' hybrids with the shaft stiffness I wanted in my bag - they hit just fine! Just switched out some lower irons in my wife's bag with a 4H, 5H and 6H - got them online at Calloway Pre-Used - Rogue ST Max OS that were listed as 'like new.' I'll say - two of them came with the shrink wrap still on them and the other one if it had been hit at all - I couldn't see any marks on the club face. She loves them, has a matching set of (really nice) hybrids that work for her and all for about 95 a club with tax, shipping, etc. There are definitely some deals out there if you look.
  3. Totally agree about the blue face - son has the Stealth2 and I just never warmed to it!
  4. I really like the look of the new Qi10. I have a Sim2Max and when these came out, I was already jones-ing to try one. TaylorMade doing a fitting at club in a week and have already signed up. Will say - had an issue with the crown separating on the original Sim2Max I had. Went online, TaylorMade sent me a fedex shipper, shipped it the next day and had a notice from them that as soon as fedex registered the return, they sent out a brand new Sim2Max, I literally had it the next day (Saturday). So from a Thursday reporting the issue to getting a new club on Saturday - I was impressed with the customer service. Thought I'd be without a driver for a couple weeks. Will see how I hit the new Qi10Max!
  5. Yikes - doing a Titleist fitting tomorrow - already have the T300's, but looking at the T350's so I don't have to lug clubs back and forth between the north and south...I really like the T300's, only thing I've had an issue with is my PW on the sole the paint never stayed in the grooves, so every couple of rounds I use a paint pen to fill it in. Other than that, they have been great!
  6. Did some warmup with my Rapsodo and GolfPod tripod to review after, then headed to the short course and did a bunch of half wedges, chips, putts and bunker shots - been losing too many strokes in and around the green!
  7. Hi all, glad to be part of the forum. How long have you been playing golf? Started in my 30's, then stopped for 10 years until I retired a few years ago. What’s your handicap or normal score? ~15, now an 18 with all the water I'm finding on the FL courses I play... What do you love about golf? Being outside and trying to get better on every shot, every round! What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? Friends told me about it and I use MyGolfSpy for the great reviews - don't know any other spies. Where are you from? What is your home course? Half the year on Cape Cod (play the two Dennis courses usually) and half the year in Wellington, FL (play the four Palm Beach County courses usually) What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Best? tons of courses around. Worst? With the horse season starting in Wellington, harder to grab tee times. What do you do for a living? Retired and on a few boards. How’d you pick your user name? 1,000 years ago (seems like), our first emails were on a Banyan network (remember them?) - you were limited to 8 characters as a user name and we used 7 letters of your last name and your first initial, so.... polanowj and I've used it for everything since~
  8. It's what keeps us going @Kenny B!!
  9. Congrats to the four lucky golfers - I enjoyed reading a bit about the backgrounds and what you are going to try and work on. Good luck!
  10. Walk nearly 100% of the time (unless a course doesn't allow it, or like some courses through neighborhoods, the green to tee distance is huge). Posted 83 rounds last year and 86 (so far!) this year and have been in a cart less than 10 times. I find it allows me to 'think about my life, think about my choices....' and keep my head in the game. I also use the time walking to the ball to assess what I did right/wrong, and start thinking about what the next shot will be. I use a push cart (Bag Bog Quad XL) and plan on using it for the foreseeable future. The ~4 mile walk every round does a body good!
  11. Thanks for such a great opportunity. I have played Cobra S9's for years and recently looked at the RadSpeed's, but didn't pull the trigger. I would choose the Forged Tec X, for a little more playability for my handicap (currently 16.5). I would certainly look at the Forged Tec before finalizing, since head size and topline are important for me. I would hope to pick up some yardage and be able to work the ball a bit more than my current irons. I know the lofts have changed pretty significantly and timing is right for a new set! Lives in: Dennis, MA Current Irons: Cobra S9 - 4-GW Current HCP: 16.5 Would absolutely agree to participate in any and all discussions about the irons. Thank you! jp
