Therapy

I’m a golf addict who’s in therapy

I meet once a week

With a few just like me

My counselor’s the sun 

And her voice is the breeze 

And she speaks to my soul 

As I stand at the tee

Nature in beauty and song

Join the call

And I’m under their spell

As I tee up my ball 

I know there’s no cure 

And my life will be marked 

By the time that I spend 

Chasing balls with a cart

But one thing I count on

As I take my swing…

If I land in the fairway or end up OB

There’s always another round

Calling for me

Promising sunshine 

And friends at the tee

And so in the cycle I live 

Round to round

And only a few

Know the joy that I’ve found
