  1. MY perspective as someone who started playing more "serious" during covid-times. Youtube Definitely opened my eyes up that golf just isn't try to hit a ball straight and into a hole. Learning a whole new world of movements, terminology, mannerisms, etc. I saw in videos that i saw translate onto the course and into every day situations. But has it helped my game? Yes and No. Yes. It helped me look for the fundamentals ie: posture, swing path, amateur statistics, different lies, etc. Being able to watch Tiger, Rory, DJ, Bryson, swing in slow mo and have professionals break down their swing is a great advantage to learning golf in the modern day. No. The more i watched videos from other youtubers, the more confused i got and the more it messed with my swing.. or atleast when i was trying to develop my swing. I ended up taking lessons and took what i learned from the youtube videos and applied it with tweaks from my PGA instructor.
  2. Congratulations to the winners! It was a fun and interesting Masters! Definitely didn't go anywhere near the way i thought! I should've known Hovlands swing change wasn't going to help, and should've stuck to my gut feeling of Scheffler winning haha. This fantasy pool was a nice touch to create engagement! kudos Titleist & MGS!
  3. Purchased a Taylormade Milled Grind 3 from GlobalGolf.ca - Came in with the plastic and stickers on it. Paid $130 us, but got dinged with $40 cad in duty fees. ASMR - TM MG3 Unboxing Video
  4. Played my first round of the season. I wasn't going to keep score given the conditions, wearing 4 layers and aerated greens. But I did anyways lol. I hurt my knee earlier in the week during my weekly trackman session some how.. and then my bicep felt sore while working on extension and finishing my swing. My drives were slicing to the right but still playable. I topped my fairway woods a few times. But all in all, I played better than i expected. Key takeaways: Only lost 1 ball which is considered a good round for me! No mulligans - gave myself a penalty for each missed shot off the tee. Putting was alot better than i expected. Least amount of 3 putts for me ever! I even chipped in one shot making birdie!
  5. Awesome! Thanks for this opportunity. Fantasy pools are always fun, but with added prizes is a bonus! 1st Tie Breaker : +3 2nd Tie Breaker : Shipley
  6. Congrats testers! Lets see some videos and hear how those irons sound compared to your current/previous ones
  7. Play a hole with me. *first time filming by myself, it’s really tough managing your game and trying to capture the right shots. Fortunately we didn’t hold anyone up and managed to get these bad shots on film . First time playing @woodingtonlakegolfclub - first game in over 2 weeks. Felt great to be out there even tho I didn’t shoot that great! First shot shot off left but luckily sliced back right on the fringe. Second shot wasn’t terrible, just not an ideal lie for my 3rd shot which was a total chunk. Embarrassing. Got out of the sand on my 4th but left it short of the green. Chipped it, got a good bounce but not the position I was hopping for. 1st putt was solid, only 1inch from the cup. 2nd putt was in the cup. Golf is hard. Filming & golfing is harder. Content creators, how do you do it?!? Tips please! Youtube link here. IMG_3783.MOV
  8. Yesterday was my first range session in over a week. I was recovering from food poisoning and also had my niece and nephew over for the week - so i was more occupied playing fortnite and taking them to trampoline parks vs practicing. I worked solely on 100 yards and less, once i felt warmed up - i started taking 3-5 shots working my way down the bag. Take a few driver hits and switch back to irons and chipping in a similar sequence as to how i would play. Ended the session at the chipping range working on the 30 yards and less. 9. awesome, i'll try to jump in. Kind of hard during office hours.
  10. Congratulations to the selected testers! Looking forward to seeing the reviews (especially if you're coming from wearing Adidas shoes)
  11. Coming from a Taylormade White Smoke putter, i compared a Scotty, Bettinardi, but this roll just felt like something else. ER7 w/ tourtac grip first because it felt really good @ the store. I wanted the ER2 but it wasn't available, and my gift certificate was coming close to expiring. But after playing a round with it, the weight of a mallet wasn't suited for my game (long lag putts) i found myself leaving it short. (currently available for sale $450 Canadian + shipping - May 25 2023) Purchased a TourStroke putter w/ pistol grip off eBay thinking it would help -- surprisingly, the TS feels the best with it's crazy offset it took time accept the ugly look but i assure you, if you had problems with a "pure" putt, this helps along with a putting matt. I had the least amount of 3 putts when using this for a +18 handicap. The ER7 and ER2.2 feel a bit slow coming off the face, but adjusting your putting stroke will cure this. It will take some time, but the feel and rolls are simply amazing. I even received compliments from strangers I get paired with about the "nice roll" and i reply "was it an even roll?" *ba dum* - Currently playing the ER2.2 midblade.
  12. Hi Everyone, New from Canada (Toronto) I'm a marketing manager and artist by trade, but golfer at heart. Prior to covid I would shoot in the 100-110's by only playing once or twice a year with the boys. But since covid, i've been playing weekly and shooting consistently in the high 80's and low 90's from the white tee's. My goal is to eventually play in local Tournaments for friendly competition once I can master the art of Putting! (those 3 putts really kill my score!) Looking forward to chatting with those like minded individuals and meeting new golfers! Sub to my Youtube | Instagram and i'll sub back! What's in my bag: D - TM SIM2 Max 3W - TM SIM2 Max 5W - TM Aeroburner 3H - TM Rescue 5-pw - TM P790 52 - TM MG2 56 - TM MG1 60 - TM MG2 Putter - EVNroll ER2.2 Ball - TP5 or PV1
