One cool thing BC did was they bought my old (one of, I kept one just in case) push cart, a caddy tec from Costco. They sent a shipping label and paid me $50 once they got it. Bat Caddy has a generous rewards program though referrals and reviews that gets free merchandise to customers. Among the things I've added are a rain cover, hanging bag (kinda like a cart purse), remote hanger, and other things I can't think of.

I have a batcaddy remote. Recently picked it up during a black Friday sale, if you look at their site they have frequent sales, if someone who is an owner like myself put your email address in it's a 10% off voucher for you and points for me if you purchase. I golf a hilly course and because the holes are stretched out among housing it's about a 5 mile walk. I haven't ran out of battery yet and all hills are climbable even in wet and muddy winter. IRRC I'm into it $850 which isn't too bad. That's with an extended range lithium battery and dual motor setup. If I was to do it again I would of bought the MGI Zip Navigator Costco had on sale for $1250 black Friday special. It uses a gyroscope which helps for tracking on sidehills and looks a little better made than the X3 Remote I purchased. IIRC it also has follow mode which my Batcaddy doesn't. The important thing is that it works well and it's fun being out walking again but not pulling or pushing up and down hills. I'm just walking and clicking a remote.

One length irons and a short hybrid. The OL hybrid was on sale and is on it's way, I found some one length iron heads on ebay for $10 each, all the same model but some are ladies and some are men's 6 - PW and SW. I'll redo the paint fill anyway so it shouldn't matter. I also came across some closeout shafts that should work with what the heads originally came with weight wise. I'll be all in for less than $200 once I add grips and ferrules. It should be a fun project.

I went back to standard size from an oversized Golf Pride I had used for many years. The GP grip worked fine but I handled a putter with a standard size grip and realized I like being able to feel the putter head with the standard grip.

Callaway runs a pre owned site. Many times they will list a condition as "like new" and it will be brand new, never hit clubs still in plastic from old stock that didn't sell. They can't list them as new at a discounted price due to MAP deals they make other sellers adhere to. Undercutting your distributors wouldn't go over well.

Weight towards the front lowers spin, weight towards the back helps with moi more than on the front but any weight on the bottom will help with moi. If it's a sliding weight theory is that moving it toward the heel promotes a draw. My best results are with the weight in the middle with the heavier weight (if multiple weights) in the back. Butt that's me, ymmv. Having adjustable weights also comes in handy for using a shorter shaft as the swing weight for a shorter shaft can be adjusted by adding weight to the head. This also weakens the effective flex of the shaft softer depending on how much is added. Have fun with it.

I picked up a Tour Edge Exotics E722 from their CPO site for less than $150. Didn't get along with the Ventus Blue it came with so I now play it with one of two closeout shafts I got. One is a 6.0 60g Project X Riptide LX and the other is a 6.5 Riptide MX. Both are worthy shafts that had far too short of a life with PX, they play nothing like the stock Riptide that manufacturers use in product lines. The LX is uniform in stiffness and fits my aggressive downswing well. I'm normally high 90's to low 100's ss and was skeptical about the MX in 6.5 but it was on closeout for $40. I think that a shaft can only be as stiff as it's weakest section so I took a chance due to the soft middle section in the MX. The MX in 6.5 is interesting as the MX profile has a soft middle but in 6.5 the middle plays as stiff as the LX 6.0 middle (still with me?) with an ultra stiff tip and handle. It really works well but is so stiff that prolonged use triggers my golfers elbow. It's one of the straightest combos (with the E722 head) that I've ever owned. Toe shots still go straight, the high moi of the E722 is no joke. I'm thinking that the stiffness is allowing more power to be transmitted to the ball vs being absorbed by loading the shaft. I'm probably wrong on that one, never the less the combo works for me.

I stopped thinking about it and bought it. It is a used TEE EXS 220 driver. I have two other Tour Edge Exotics drivers and they both work well so I'm not sure why I went backwards a generation but I did, maybe it was because of the 4T core shaft that comes with it. The two I own are C721 and E722. The EXS 220 is supposed to have a similar profile and moi of the E722 but with a different titanium alloy used in the face. It's already worth more than I paid for it if I was to trade for more stuff at RBG so I'm not out anything. I might have a problem, lol.

Raising this from the dead, hoping for more info on the silver TEE 4T core. What I know is that the TEE version is listed at 3.3 degrees of torque vs 3.8 for the TM blue and 3.1 for the Velocore. Something that's interesting is that the TEE Ventus Red 4T core s flex has the same torque as the now discontinued original silver TEE version of 3.3. The TEE Blue Ventus is 3.7 which is just about the same as the TM and Callaway versions. I have a TEE Blue version and it's quite different than the Red 4T core, I'm pretty sure that it's the same shaft as TM and Callaway have used. With all of that said I'm hoping that someone has more info on the 4T versions. I'm wondering if the TEE red 4T core is the same as the original silver 4T core with different paint? I've read that the original TEE silver 4T core was modeled after the OG Blue Velocore with the exception of 40 ton vs 70. Thanks

I really liked the MTB Black, it reminded me of the old TP series that I loved.

I tried a new Snell MTB Prime a few days ago. The weather was crappy and low 40's so this isn't the best of conditions for testing but it worked fine. The cover took abuse from trees and my golf clubs, it went as far as anything else I use and was a cut above the Bridgestone B RX I was also testing. I'm glad I picked up 5 dozen during the superbowl sale @ $20 per dozen. I'm saving the rest for nice weather.

I picked up 5 dozen MTB Prime balls during the SB sale for $19.99 per dozen. I hope they are like the MBT Black was. If it's just a matter of cover durability it won't matter as my home course is a ball eater and I'm used to losing one or two during a round. At $20 per dozen I don't think I'm taking a huge risk on these. Cover durability has been the only negative I've heard of with Prime. I'll probably pick up a test pack of the new balls when they become available.

There are lots of choices out there and buying at the right time of year brings down cost on other brands. I too love the Snell Black MTB. I'd been playing Srixon Z Star XV and decided to break out a sleeve of MTB Black during my last round. I'd forgotten how much I like the MTB. Others must feel the same way because the MTB is $30 a dozen in bulk quantities with no packaging. You can still get them but be prepared to pay $60 for two dozen in a bag.

No longer thinking about them. Bought CPO TEE C721 irons with kbs tgi shafts. Fantastic performance, very forgiving, best irons I've had to date.

I don't think anyone said wtf was best, just that it's a starting place and (paraphrasing here) a better place to start than just going by height which is how the op was originally "fitted" and told that since he's 6'3" he needs +1" but his own experience told him that standard length and lie worked better.

Apex are solidly great irons. If the shaft fits you the head will too. One of the best looking irons out there.

V2 only available here in Puget Sound today. I looked for the new ball and only found V2 for $19.97. Bacon was $13.xx for 4 pounds so there was that.

Rumor has it that V3 KSig is about to release. I picked up some V2's for $19.97 a two dozen pack a few weeks ago, supposedly they are being closed out. Maybe it's already been in the thread, I didn't read it all.

There is a yellow ball on the conforming list. Costco has had a few balls on the list that never made it to production so let's hope this time we see it in stores. Even better would be a new 4 piece yellow and white. There is a reason they are marked .97 and it makes no sense to blow them out unless they are making room for something else.
