  1. So Sorry to hear about your loss- It is indeed a nasty disease. I'm happy that you had nothing but great, strong caring and loving people around you. I'm glad that y'all have the right focus and frame of mind. You'll be in my prayers
  2. GM Y'all- Been a rough week or so- but It's getting better. Had a few issues with my "stump" to the point where I couldn't play in the last Faculty /Staff Tournament, or do any practicing, but I'm thinking its on the mend. Kinda cool when you can leave your leg at your doctors office so they can fix it for ya(I've got a "spare") and it's a "pain free" procedure. Hope y'all have a great day- whatever that entails (hopefully at least SOME golf of some sort). I'm jealous of the ones who get to go play- not to worry though- us working stiffs got this ALL under control
  3. Guess that gives a whole new meaning to having a "Paint" horse
  4. 2- Golf Pride MCC +4 Align and the White Hot OG grip on my putter
  5. FWIW- I go from 42*(PW) to 48*(AW) to 54*(SW)58*(LW1)64*(LW2). It's a SLIGHT change from my previous set-up (45*PW-50*AW) but I know the distances of my clubs and I can make adjustments as necessary. At the end of the day- I have a 52.5* difference from my driver to LW2 which equates to JUST over 4* per club(excluding putter) and I'm REALLY comfortable with the set up and that's all that really matters
  6. I know the feeling- haven't found anything that can beat my Callys- doesn't mean I haven't tried one or 2 or 3. Kinda helps me appreciate what I've got a little bit more.
  7. DETAILS!!!!!! I'm sure you've played in 49* at least once or twice AND- you could be first in line
  8. I'm just wonderin' why you're not already there-
  9. GM Y'all HAPPY DAY AND Sommer Solstice!!!!! Not sure what the weather is gonna do today here- looks like rain- BUT on the bright side- I was looking at the temp in Riyadh (had a little flashback) and it's currently 108* and I doubt there's a wind anywhere to be found- so things COULD be worse temp wise. Hope y'all have the best day possible w nothin' but F&Gs w no 3-putts. Us worker bees got the rest..........
  10. GM Y'all- Hopin that everyone has a great day and hits 'em straight and long and/or gets all of their taskings done. Been kinda busy lately but there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. Might be a range session tonight and then a Faculty/Staff Scramble on Thursday. Gonna be a good week. Have fun and be safe
  11. Went out to my home course- bogeyed 2 and 9 on the front-parred the rest EXCEPT for the SNOWMAN (I "Tin Cupped" it and hit 2 in the water) on 4 for a 42. On the back- birdied 10 and 18, parred 16 with a nifty short shot (even if I do say so myself) bogeyed 11-13, 15 and 17 and doubled 14 for a 41. The MO continues- but I AM seeing SOME improvement
  12. GM Y'all- It's returned to some semblance of "normalcy" at work. We're now 2 people short- but it's a temporary inconvenience leading to a permanent improvement(hopefully). I got to see my first "real/original" Andy Warhol painting in person last night (Hammer and Sickle). It was incredible. I've seen pictures of his work but never in person. Of all places, in the Beach Museum of Art on the KSU campus, Manhattan Kansas. Looks like I might get a range date tonite after I fix my CV joints then a round tomorrow(weather permitting). I hope that golf is in y'alls day and you hit 'em far and straight w no 3-putts(or worse) and have a great weekend
  13. TRUST ME- if ever get it figured out I'll GLADLY share it with you
  14. I'm right there with you. My latest MO seems to be mess up the first 3 holes- get it together and then somewhere around 16 or 17 start to lose it again. I had a mid-high 70s round goin on Saturday- even with my nasty first 3 holes. Then about halfway through 16 the wind kicked up and it started to rain. I had a bogey/double/triple (a trifecta of sorts) finish on 16/17/18. I KNOW I've gotta play a COMPLETE 18. If I could just get away from blowing up the card with those bad holes.
  15. GM Y'all- been really busy lately and tryin to get things back to something that resembles "normal". Hopefully it's gonna happen soon. We had a co-worker quit on us and we've been a little short staffed before that happened- so it's been a little hectic. I need a nice golf vacation SOON. For those of you golfing today- I'm jealous- I know I'll get there soon. I hope y'all hit 'em far and straight and have nothing but F&Gs with NO 3-putts. For the rest of us worker bees- I know we've got this. Hope y'all have an awesome day
  16. Congrats !!!!! I'm glad all are doing well!!!!!
  17. I was wondering if you'd check those out as well- they're both VERY impressive. If I had half their talent and practiced/played as much as they do- I'd like to think that I could POSSIBLY come close to some of the things they did. And it was great seeing them just relax, talk junk and have fun
  18. you should check the Tommy and Rory - Hit the Number you tube-
  19. Great pic- I'd really like to follow him for a round (or 6 or 7)
  20. That's one of the many reasons he's one of my favorite golfers
  21. I made a batch of wheat beer and used jalapeno infused honey in it, and apparently it turned out pretty good- I can say that cuz it definitely didn't last too long and the people that "helped" me drink it thought I needed to make a LOT more of it- to work on my .......... um...... consistency and make sure it wasn't a one-off
  22. GM Y'all !!!!! Hope y'all had a great weekend and played well or got what you needed to get done- done. I played relatively well for about 70% of the course- but made up for it with the remaining 30%. Was that an INCREDIBLE putt or what? I thought Jim Nantz was gonna slip and say something else than what eventually came out of his mouth. I was so impressed that Tommy Fleetwood showed complete and 100% CLASS in his defeat( but then again, I'd expect nothing less from him). I'm really impressed that Nick Taylor made that putt. I'm still a firm believer in that "luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity". Hope y'all have a great day/week!!!!!
  23. Thought that sauce looked familiar- I've got it by the gallons at the house and the eggs look really good too-
  24. I've been know to brew a few from time to time. I made a Honey Chocolate Porter a while ago and both versions turned out really well. First batch was a "traditional" batch; the 2nd opted to try Champagne yeast and ended up w 14%. It was really tasty too- just had to be a little bit careful when you opened it. My best batch (IMHO) was a Belgian White- but it was kinda finnicky (different storage temps etc...). But it turned out great.
  25. GM Y'all- I hope everyone is havin a great day and hopefully things will get less hazy for those affected by the Canuck smoke. Things have been crazy at work lately- end of Fiscal year and departments are busy trying to justify their budgets (to be read: spending like crazy). I'm seeing a new putter in the bag coming soon. Then I'm sure I'll be able to figure out if it's the archer or the arrow. According to the testing I did- the new one is MUCH more accurate. Anyways, hope that golf involved in your day and know that I'm jealous(although I might get a range session in tonight ahead of my round tomorrow). Nothin but F&Gs and NO 3-putts.
