  1. I've never hit a callaway fairway wood but wanted something to alternate with my 2i and it was a great deal as I had some old clubs to trade in.
  2. Is anyone competing on the Amateur Players Tour? I did my first event earlier this year and it was pretty fun but extremely slow. I have my second tournament coming up in 2 weeks.
  3. Just ordered a Callaway Ai Smoke Max 5 wood while taking advantage of that 50% bonus trade in value Global Golf is running. Looking for it to be an alternative to my 2 iron. While I love the 2 iron, I am looking for something a bit easier to loft and land softly so I'll be swapping between the 2 depending on course fit.
  4. I've been trying different shafts recently but have an 9 degree Aerojet LS head. I've settled on a AD IZ shaft and found it was launching too high. So I've been testing it at the -1 setting and found success on the range but have my first full round this weekend with it at the -1.
  5. Oh I meant dive in deep with setting my wedge matrix. I've never actually done it and have been lazy and done guesstimates for my distances with partial swings.
  6. I'll have to come up with my own version of this and dive in deep with it. For me, rollout is so hard to account for as I don't have the experience with greens and green speed and everything.
  7. Yeah am looking to do something similar. What does your pitch and chip table include?
  8. Honestly one graph or visual I love is the range visual where it’ll show gapping and distances that way. Awesome Golf does it while you’re actively in the app but it doesn’t produce it afterwards or allow you to keep the visuals.
  9. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for software or apps where I can import shot data and it would provide better visualization and organization of the data/etc. The file is in excel and a csv file if that matters. For full context, I use Awesome Golf and can download my data via csv file but Awesome Golf and the Community app isn't all that great for going back and looking at your shots and practice sessions or your data so I am hoping for a program or an app that would be a better tool for my Awesome Golf data.
  10. I’m using it in the same way . A little practice and a little exercise for the dogs. its just such a thin mat that I got concerned over injury. That’s my only complaint about it but I do have a wish for it and that would be a different cut of turf on it. Similar to other hitting mats that have some longer cuts or a “rough” cut.
  11. Awesome golf seems to be the way to go for a budget friendly set up. The data points and everything is just better. But also, I enjoy the mini games and competitions in it for practice.
  12. So with the warmer weather I’ve been able to set up outside more often. I keep the putting mat in the basement and still love it. I think it has improved my consistency with mid to short range putts and as I’ve taken up competitive play this year, that’s been huge. But I wanted to throw in a note about the supplemental hitting mat. I’ve been taking it outside and putting it on blacktop to hit off of but have found it to be too thin of a mat to use that way. Personally, I put a couple of those foam gym puzzle tiles under the mat and that is a lot better of a hitting surface. No fault at all to BirdieBall since this was intended to be placed on top of the putting surface but just a warning to those out there looking to use the products separately as I do.
  13. For those of you that game a GD shaft, do you agree with this chart for your shaft?
  14. I’m in search of a shaft similar to the Hzrdous Smoke im10 for my driver. Or if anyone knows the “bend” profile of the im10, that would be helpful because that is the only spec that I cannot find online about this shaft. for context, I currently game this shaft in my TM Mini Brnr and love it off the tee and off the deck. I’m looking to make a shaft change at the driver level and figured something similar just a tad longer would likely work. I swing my driver between 104-106.
  15. Wish I could place my ball for approach shots as I think this mindset and lack of swing thoughts would be most beneficial to me there. I think for this, I would actually line the ball up for my drives as well as putts. Also, who doesn't love JDay
  16. Just starting my 2nd program - the Full Speed Program. It is still too early in the year for me to be able to tell if my swing speed increases from program 1 is translating to distance since I did my first program over the winter. I will admit though, this speed training has brought to light a bit of an on course issue. I've played 3 rounds since Jan 1 2024 and I've come to realize I am not swinging "full" on course like I do when I am at the range or at home. I seem to have a block where I swing slower on course focusing (too much perhaps) on making consistent contact.
  17. When comparing to full swing and everything, which software are you using on the R10
  18. I did not know it gives a recommendation. Good to know.
  19. I’m about to finish up my foundations program with a couple more sessions. I’m curious what everyone’s thoughts or methodology is for picking their second or next programs. Why did some of you pick the Neural drive program over the others or what went into your decision making for your second programs?
  20. One thing I’ve learned over the past year is I don’t enjoy courses that have an abundance of blind tee shots. I don’t need tee shots that are easy or overly comfortable but I hate playing a course where I constantly feel like it’s a “hit it in this direction and hope for the best on the other side of the hill”. And then one thing I’ve learned to value is the variety in par 3s and variety overall. I seem to play my best golf and have the most fun when I use more clubs in my bag than not and I think par 3s play a role in that. If each of the par 3s is a different club/distance, I think that makes it more fun overall. Similar to what some have said in this thread, courses that require strategy are more engaging for me. Golf is a physical and a mental game and I like when both are required.
  21. Is it a course that puts you in positions to use a variety of clubs more frequently? Is it simply the conditions and cost? Maybe it is reachable par 5s or driveable par 4s? Are you a fan of certain course architectures or designs and routing? What to you, makes a golf course "good" or even "great"?
  22. Apologies if I overlooked this while scanning this thread. Question for the testers or anyone else using the Stack - there is a ton of talk about driving distances, understandably so, but are users/testers also seeing increases in woods/irons/wedge stock full swings as well? Or is this not really impacting your swing other than driver/off the tee?
  23. An order for the stack was placed for me as a Christmas gift. Cannot wait to get it and begin.
  24. Nothing is truly on the block but I may look into a fitting for driver and woods to really get those dialed in but it’s definitely not a need. My irons, wedges, and putter are completely safe.
