  1. No worries. And yes, we are working with the developer to get the inputs corrected, so that it’s all there when you post the score. I anticipate it being settled within the next few weeks.
  2. Please add the slope and course rating for the new format. Much appreciated
  3. I need slope and course rating, for the new format. Much appreciated
  4. Snuck up to the range this evening for some more work with the QI-10. Over the last few sessions I’ve been working to correct face to path issues that were producing high spinny slices. Progress has been made on that front and I’m starting to see more draws than slices. I had a couple that carried around 250 yards, which for my game is the sweet spot. My feelings on this shaft/head combo are thus: Love the shaft, starting to dig the head. Sorry, @IndyBonzo, you may not be getting this head back Oh, and the mini driver is serviceable off the deck. Which makes for a pretty good insurance policy, if the driver goes south mid-round. The top of the bag is starting to take shape for this season, just need to get some rounds in.
  5. Welcome! Glad to have you here. The VCT is a fun way to compete against your fellow forum members. At the top and bottom of the page you will see this icon: click the post score button and fill out the boxes: once completed, hit submit and you become an official member of the VCT! Also, remember to include your course rating and slope from the round, as it is needed for a new format we have implemented for this current season. Again, welcome!
  6. With the VCT, you can come and go as you please. There is no weekly obligation to post a score. If you post weekly, great! If you miss a week or three, no worries.
  7. For the new format, please provide slope and course rating. Much appreciated
  8. I need the slope and course rating for this course. Much appreciated!
  9. @DiverDown Has your putting improved with the use of this product? Please share details of your testing so far!
  10. Please let me know the slope and course rating for Northern Pines. Much appreciated!
  11. In the message is fine. In the next few weeks it will be added to the inputs when a score is posted, but for now I’m asking folks to include it with their score posts. much appreciated!
  12. Good question. We have looked into a couple of things like this, but our challenge is the various options available means picking one at the possible exclusion of those that don’t use those products. Our end goal for this is, and has always been making it available for any member that wants to participate. While the new format does ask for a few more data inputs than seasons past, it is still relatively easy and available to all. Good luck this season and we are glad to have you join us!
  13. Please give the course rating and slope, for the new format thanks Please give the course rating and slope, for the new format. thanks
  14. Nice round! When you get a moment, please share the slope and course rating of this course, for the new format. Much appreciated. Ben
  15. Nice round. I’ll need the course slope and rating, when you have a moment to add it to your post. Thanks, Ben
  16. Good morning all, Season 3 of the VCT kicks off today! Check it out here: For details on the format changes for this season check it out here: have a grand monday
  17. Ideally, but the beauty of the VCT is that you can post as many or as few rounds as you like. There is no obligation to post a round each week. If there are weeks where you don’t play, no worries. During weeks that you post multiple rounds, your best round will be used for scoring purposes.
  18. The round being posted should be played within that week. For example, this week (week 1) goes from Monday (today) until Sunday. The round being posted should occur within that window. There is a prompt for the date of the round within the form and it will allow you to back date a round within that window. For example, you play today and post the round on Wednesday, you will be able to indicate that the round occurred today. If that makes sense.
  19. MGS VCT Season 3 Week 1 is now open for scoring! We Back!!!! *Reminder, weekly thread will lock each Monday at 9am EST, when the next week goes live.
  20. Great question. We want the flights and handicaps based off of current VCT rounds. Think of it as a VCT specific handicap
  21. Tomorrow at 9am, the thread for week 1 will be posted in the MGS virtual golf tournaments section of the forum. There will be an option to post score. Follow the prompts and hit submit. Your score will be posted to a leaderboard and you will be an official member of VCT. For reference, weeks from previous seasons are available in that section as well. If you have any questions when you go to post your round, feel free to ask and I or another member will be happy to answer them. Good luck this season!
  22. After a brief offseason, the VCT is back!!!!! Buckle up buckaroos, we have some changes to the format. Here are the pertinent details: Start Date: 4-22-24 End Date: 10-6-24 The season will run 24 weeks for season 3, rather than a full calendar year, unlike season 2. End of Season Tournament: 10-14-24 through 11-3-24 For the offseason, we will still have a weekly leaderboard for those that live in year-round golfing climates, but the main competition for next off season will be a SIM league we are developing that will run through the winter months. Details to come. Format Change: We are instituting a Flight System, and will breakdown as follows: Flight I - + to 5 Flight II - 6 to 10 Flight III - 11 to 15 Flight IV - 16 to 20 Flight V - 21 to 25 Flight VI - 26+ How are the flights determined? To avoid any confusion regarding course handicaps or allegations of sandbaggery, with each round posted we will be asking for the following information: Member Name Course Name Gross Score Course Slope Course Rating # of Actual Eagles or Birdies Longest Drive Distance The gross score, slope, and rating will be added to a spread sheet each week and after week 5, each participant that submitted enough rounds will be given their VCT handicap and assigned to one of the flights above. Once the flights have been established, a scoring system will be used to give points to each member based on where their best score places them within their flight for the week. Also, there is a wrinkle I have decided to add: We will have in season Promotion and Relegation within the flights. Each golfer gets 2 passes, where they exceed their handicap i.e. a Flight III golfer shoots a PB 74, without consequence. After the 2 passes are used, a PB round of 74 would earn them a promotion to Flight II. Conversely, there will be 2 passes for blow-up rounds, after which a golfer will be relegated to a lower flight, i.e a Flight II golfer posts an 89, after using their 2 passes they would be relegated to Flight III. A fascinating sidebar to this will be watching members rise through the flights, as their games improve over the course of a season, so there will be a trophy room badge given in the EOS awards for the highest riser. There will also be weekly badges given in each flight for top finisher, # of actual birdies or better, and longest drive. However, we have done away with bonus points for the birdie or long drives. The points for the season will be based solely on finishing order within each flight. A points standings will be made available with the flight results each week. Caveat: We are still working with the developer on the getting the submission form the way we want it, so the first couple weeks may look similar to last season. I would ask that each score that is posted contain the course slope and rating. I will also accept combined 9 hole scores, as long as each nine has slope and course rating included. Lastly, welcome back! Let's make this the best season yet!!!!
