  1. I haven’t, but that’s a good deal so I may have to make the trip at some point. Thanks for the heads up.
  2. Good morning all, Gonna be a hot one this weekend. Heading to Columbus later this morning for a cousins wedding this afternoon, but I’m hopeful to get 18 in tomorrow afternoon, once we’re back. have a grand weekend
  3. Date 07/12/2024 Course Name Test Gross Score 72 Course Rating 69.3 Course Slope 130 Gross Strokes over/under par 0 Birdies or better 2 Longest Drive 280
  4. We had a member test for the MLM2Pro last season: There is a lot of good information in this thread. Also, I have one. A number of the issues and limitations of the original MLM were remedied in the MLM2Pro. For the price, it is arguably the best personal launch monitor on the market. My only complaint would be the subscription for premium. As the premium is needed to really enjoy all the benefits available on this device. Lately, I am really enjoying the target range, as it makes hitting balls into a net less tedious and gives purpose to my practice sessions at home. Lastly, Enjoy it!
  5. If you’ll recall, I had a brief flirtation with a LAB Mezz.1 Max last fall/winter. And truth be told, I missed being a LAB Rat
  6. The legend grows Now I’m capable of cracking solid aluminum putter heads
  7. I saw that you had 2 nine hole rounds from the same course, but I couldn’t tell if they were a front and back score, 2 fronts, 2 backs, etc. Typically, I would want it to be a front score and a back score for combination purposes. So I erred on the side of caution and took the better of the two as your scoring submission. As a combined round of 100, it would have garnered you 3 points rather than 2. I can adjust it accordingly
  8. Week 11 Scoring Recap and Update Because @GolfSpy SAM inspires me to be a better teammate and staff member, here is the recap for the week that finished up yesterday. More outstanding play has resulted in 3 more members earning promotion. Please join me in congratulating the following: @GolfSpy_BNG from Flight II to Flight I @Preeway from Flight II to Flight I and most impressively, @USMCSnyper from Flight VI to Flight V! Well Done Gents! Lastly, be sure to sign up for the mid-season tournament that will be held the last 2 weeks of July. It should be a good time!
  9. @cdewispelare This season we have moved away from course handicaps and net scores, in favor of gross scores and a flight system. The scoring inputs were changed by our developer to reflect this. The changes were supposed to occur during the offseason, but didn't get completed until this past week. So your "net score" to par would be whatever number of strokes you were above the par of the course. My apologies for the confusion, but this is all a work in progress.
  10. Tried that on the range at Kingsmill, the result of a poor finish in the PGA Championship contest, it was…not pretty.
  11. With the round you posted today and the other 2 in previous weeks, I will be able to get you flighted. So you should be good to go
  12. Week 12 is now open for scoring!!! photo credit @IndyBonzo Lastly, check out the VCT Flights thread for details and to sign up for the mid-season tournament that will be played over the last 2 weeks of July! Should be a good time! Good luck and play well!
  13. The VCT Tournament Committee, comprised of myself, @Golf2Much, & @Josh Parker, proudly announce that there will be a mid season VCT tournament! Here are some Initial Details on the mid-season VCT tournament that will be held over the last 2 weeks of July: The event will be an in-flight two man best ball tournament and see who in each flight can play one round the week of July 22nd and the week of July 29th. We want to be sure a player is not left stranded because someone didn't submit a score. To make it different, everyone within a flight or group who is committed to play is put in a hat. The two-man teams are created through a blind draw. We will draw teams on Thursday, July 18th during the community call. Teams are then divided it two groups. Each play the week of July 22nd and the team two man best ball score is calculated. The winners from each group within a flight play one another again two man best ball the week of July 29th and the mid-season flight champions are crowned. For Flight VI, we may have to go with the two lowest scores as their would be only 3 teams (unless we combine V and VI). In fact, depending on how many we have commit (or not committed), we may have to combine I and II, III and IV and V and VI. If you are interested in playing, please reply in this thread no later than Sunday July 14th. Any entries after that date will be considered, only if there are remaining spots unfilled. Thank You and Good Luck!
  14. Yes. We are working to get the entry sheet cleaned up. The net score to par is throwing some folks off, but given that course handicaps do not and haven’t factored into the scoring this season, all the info I need is still present. I’m particularly happy with the inputs for course rating and slope, so I can quit pestering folks to add those data points to their posts.
  15. I’ve mostly been fit into 10.5 heads, so that I got my best results at 8.25 is a bit of a head scratcher. But then again, the 10.5 I’m currently using seems best at the 9.5 flat setting, so
  16. In fairness, in the previous 30 years playing this game I have never had a head crack. Nor have I had one crack since. Just pure dumb, bad luck twice. I guess
  17. That is odd, because the 90 was on the spreadsheet but didn’t make it to recap. It would have been good for 7 points that week, so I have added 7 points to your current total bringing you up from 20 to 27 points. My apologies for the omission.
  18. You’ve got 170 in the bag, no problem That this head is obviously working for you fills me with joy and only confirms that sending the head on to someone else was absolutely the right move.
  19. For the sake of my own sanity and the time I put towards this, I tend to lump rounds from courses that are par 70-73 together as a full round on a full course. I acknowledge that the par 73 is probably tougher than the par 70, but the disparity between these is fairly minimal. Where as rounds shot on executive courses or 9 hole rounds will, in theory, have much lower scores. So in the hierarchy they would be judged accordingly. Also, the following caveat applies: It is not a perfect system by any means, but rather a system that allows everyone to compete with fellow members of similar skill levels. It probably doesn’t/won’t appeal to everyone but frankly, nothing does. So it is what we are going to do this season. Next season,
  20. As long as the par for the course is 70, everything is fine. We have moved away from the use of course handicap and net scores, so your gross score to par, is what should be showing.
  21. Good Catch! a note has been sent to the developer to get this corrected, but it looks like the system is rounding up or down based on the number. Should be an easy fix.
  22. Date 07/05/2024 Course Name test Gross Score 76 Course Rating 69 Course Slope 135 Gross Strokes over/under par 4 Net Score to Par 4 Birdies or better 3 Longest Drive 300
