  1. Hello, What do you guys think of the impact position ? My main issue is that my swing is difficult to reproduce, which means if I hit 100 balls 40% will not be perfect shots of which at least 20 shots will be awful. Thanks IMG_5442.MP4
  2. Video of the 7 iron, balls fly by themselves even on miss hits.
  3. My first tries were excellent, these shafts are really good guys. Easy to swing.
  4. Hello, Super excited for these. Just got them today. Will try them out on Monday. Also excited to try these NS PRO 850 GH NEO shafts. They look really beautiful.
  5. I did order these with the new Mizuno Pro 243. They will come next month.
  6. I tried the T200 and they felt super clicky when I shot them, the feeling was not smooth.
  7. I went from regular to extra stiff and it changed everything. From crazy high balls to straight penetrating flights. After the change I kept beating my best distance every few days. Please can you provide a link to the studies ? Because everything I’ve tested with shafts shows a huge difference in performance for a given energy level. The robot might be able to swing 100mph each shaft with precision, but a human can not swing the same a ladies shaft and a super extra stiff shaft.
  8. Of course a driver that is 10 years old will not perform as well. The interesting thing is to see where the improvements start to be significant, is it every 2 years ? 3 ? 5 ? By testing the last 10 generations with the same shaft we would have some data that could speak volumes to why and when we should upgrade or start to think about an upgrade. It’s a cheap test to do, get the 10 drivers off ebay, hit 20 balls each, see the results.
  9. I also live next to many many golf courses. I picked one and became a member because daily rates are huge. Between $150 to $400 for 18 holes… as a member I get free practice balls, free golf cart, locker, free tees, member discounts, etc. And they gave me the couples membership for me and my girlfriend even if we are unmarried which is unheard off where I live.
  10. I’ve been seeing it more on Twitter with very good articles. I didn’t know they had a forum. Then one day they said they needed testers for irons that look like mine and I thought I could help and get a new set of irons as well. Seemed like a bargain. Well after a while I realized I wouldn’t ever be picked up for a test of new irons as a new member. But it didn’t matter anymore as I checked out the forum and found a lot of interesting topics. I didn’t get those nice irons but I found a nice community.
  11. Let’s hope that one day we will see a test with 10 generations of drivers with the same shaft to see the results. I’m also very intrigued. You can see that I play irons that are 32 years old and they perform just fine. For the driver I upgraded because my driver was 15 years old and wasn’t fit anymore for me. I also believe that drivers have evolved more than irons, especially blades which I play. I recently tried the T200 irons and they couldn’t compete with my 32 years old irons at all. Drivers is another story, when I started golf my woods really sucked compared to what exists today.
  12. For 3 generations the statement applied. Also I think that the shaft has everything to do with more performance. The head by itself I doubt if there is a big difference. If we tried 10 generations of drivers from any brand with the same shaft and a robot we would not see a huge difference. On miss hits this might be a different story as recently they have worked more on miss hits. They could probably increase it much more on miss hits if you think about it. Drivers have peaked at the center of the face only, everywhere else you can still gain 5 to 10% performance by making it as good as the sweet spot. In the future you will hit anywhere on the face and the ball will fly as if you had a perfect shot. That’s a huge increase in performance. But how good is it today ? Good enough to spend $600 every year ? Probably not. I think a driver every 5 years and if there is a huge difference would make more sense. Truth is a single session of speed sticks would give you much more distance than the newest driver in 10 years.
  13. Ok I deleted the message as I didn't understand the reference as a foreigner.
  14. Edited as I misinterpreted the message.
  15. Where I live the Callaway Paradym driver "sells" for $880... These prices are insane.
  16. I did similar tests myself, my Ping G425Max is so straight compared to anything else, almost impossible to miss. Same swing will send the ball super straight while with my SIM2 it will be an enormous slice. It's weird when you think about it.
  17. Driver performance has peaked. Why pay double for less than 0.1% more performance if any. There is no data proving that new drivers go further and straighter.
  18. I signed up for this test as I'm a big fan of head covers.
  19. My drives went to 280+ yards. I’m not sure how long it took to go back to normal length drives. I was so long that I started using 3 wood on many holes instead of driver. My hybrid even went to 240 a couple of times. A month ago I was back at 102mph, today I’m unsure as I’ve started working out as well to gain speed again. It’s too hot for the sticks now, if I use them I will be too tired to do anything else.
  20. We have only carts here. Walking would be too slow because of the advanced age of some members and it would be impossible in summer because of extreme heat.
  21. We need an app indeed, something as easy to use as Reddit. It’s really difficult to use the forum on a phone.
  22. When that happens I let the group from behind go first and they are very very happy to be the ones waiting forever after that.
  23. I have the speed sticks, in one month my driver swing speed went from 96 mph to 111 mph. Then I stopped doing it because it was very tiring and I had no energy, after a while my swing speed went back down to 100 mph. Gains do not last if you stop using it, which is a bummer.
