  1. I haven't been hitting the driver well so I took some time to sort through that today. I have been bottoming out a lot which led me to get really good with my 3W off the tee. What ended up working for me was setting up the ball towards the front of my stance like normal but then standing up straighter with no right side lean and positioning the club head in the middle of my stance at address since its the low point of my swing. I ended up making really good and consistent contact with the center of my club face. I had more balance and felt like I could put more power into it without forcing it. This might not work for everyone but being 6'4 its the most comfortable I felt driving in a while.
  2. I use The Grint app and a Garmin Approach S70. The Grint is mostly for score keeping and the Approach for yardage. I do have to take a second after each shot to log what club i used on the watch because I don't want to pay for the tags you can put on the clubs but that really is only a second or two after the shot. I've only used the Garmin a few rounds now but really like it. I think its has pretty accurate yardages. I'm not good enough to where it needs to be exact. It has a great screen that is easy to read in the sun and is easy to navigate. In addition to the golf it has a ton of other great features for fitness tracking which I use everyday.
  3. I wish I did. I do sports broadcasting at UGA for ESPN and SEC Network as well as creative media on the side. I would love to work a golf broadcast one day or work for a creative content team for a company.
  4. Walked 9 at the University of Georgia golf course yesterday. I think many would agree that it's by far the hardest course around. I shot a 57 and have a long way to go.
  5. I game the Vice Pro Plus too and I think its great but its weird I can only get it at Target right now. I use the same ball until I can really start to feel some bad scuffs. I just cant afford to be replacing balls all the time. I usually start the round out with two sleeves of those and I always keep two sleeves of Kirklands. If I get to the Kirklands I know Im not having a great day.
  6. I got this Caddytek push cart and love it. I'll link it down below. It's listed at $200 right now but the price will fluctuate because I got it for $150 a month ago. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DT1XM2T?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Do you already know any other Spies? - I've learned a lot through their articles and videos! Where are you from? What is your home course? - Athens, Ga. The only public course here is the one at The University of Georgia What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? - Besides the UGA course, there are no public courses outside of a 30 minute drive. The UGA course is really nice though What do you do for a living? - Freelance sports broadcasting at UGA How’d you pick your user name? - It's an old nickname!
