i love to buy clubs and i have a basement full.  no real regrets since i never pay top dollar for clubs, just not worth it.  years ago bought an adams speedline driver (someone else said the same thing earlier) and i couldn't hit very well at all.  i kinda think it might have been me though.
generally though i find good buys and that keeps me from regretting questionable choices.  bought bunch of PXG clubs over the years, all at closeout prices.  the fairway woods are excellant but the gen 5 driver i bought never worked out.  the sound and feel of the driver really isn't good.  never learned how to hit it, even after i put an expensive (and fitted) shaft in it.  finally gave up and had to admit it was a bad fit.  bought a cobra LTDx LS and have never driven the ball better in my life.

i've never been a callaway guy.  always felt they were too plastic-y, if that's a word.  cheap looking and feeling.  but then i had to lend my son my sim 3w for his school golf tryouts.  i needed something quick for a golf trip, expecting to get my sim back wheni returned.  bought a mavrik 3w.  i hit it so well.  i have to admit i was way wrong about callaway.
that being said, the callaway mini looks like a great club.  love the looks.  i gotta believe, based on my experience with the mavrik, that this has got to be one solid club and would be well suited to me.  i'd buy it in an instant if i wasn't hitting my cobra so well.   i tried hard to like the mini brnr but when i hit it, i just wasn't comfortable with the shaft.  i am not a fan of the color either.  i'd go for the callaway without hesitation if the need arose, no doubt.

About 3 years ago I bought into the hype.  Being a veteran I got a great discount on fitted PXG irons, woods, and putter.  I struggled with them for nearly 3 years.  Finally, I came to the realization that they just weren't for me.  Hard to get rid of them...the cost to me was still high.  So, I went back got fitted again....didn't like their attitude this time.  The only PXG club I still have is a 2 wood, which has been good to me in the past.  I went with cobra LTDx one-length and have been shooting much lower scores.  I feel much like I was duped.  Probably not, but I am not convinced that "fitting" is the best thing.  Every person that has "fitted" me recommended different things.  They make it sound like a science....yet, as a science major I take exception to their use of the word.  The person that has fitted me best over the years....me.

    Great idea for a thread.
I fell for the whole white driver craze a few years back. Bought an Adams Speedline Super LS driver solely because of the white crown and black face. Really was a sexy club. Couldn't hit it to save my life, though. When I finally bought a used Cobra AMP for cheap last summer, my driving ability went up significantly without much change to my swing.
Knowing what I know now, I should have bought the Adams S driver which was the more forgiving of the two offerings from Adams in that line. I know both were in the shop for roughly the same price, but that was also my first adjustable driver, so I think that's ultimately why I chose the Super LS.
