    Course ratings are so weird. I played one in my area that is only 71.6 and its definitely one of the more difficult around here. Very strange

      Agreed although 71.6 is well above average difficulty. So I went on a quest to determine how they were figured. It could be that this course is maintained signifanctly differently from when the rating was assigned. Trees may have grown or been added, rough is kept higher, etc.

      Trees where definitely overgrown. On a couple of holes there was about a 10 yard window from the tips.

    So.... i got my first GHIN back for this year and there is no way its correct. Also there is no chance I am playing any net tournaments anytime soon.

      Sign up for it at your local club. They may charge you a small fee to keep it but it's worth it.
